About the role:
We are seeking an individual to join our team based in our Bardia Veteran and Family Hub as an Engagement & Community Officer. In this role, you will be an integral member of the team supporting current and former Defence personnel and their families.
This is a dynamic, people-focused position offering a broad scope of responsibilities across client wellbeing appointments, community service liaison, event coordination, and social media management.
As the welcoming face of the Hub, you’ll deliver outstanding customer service to our clients, making every interaction count. You’ll play a key role advocating for our community, genuinely committed to supporting the ADF community. If you’re compassionate, empathetic, and eager to make a positive impact, this role is a fantastic opportunity to build relationships and contribute meaningfully to the lives of others.
A bit about you:
Demonstrated experience in Community and/or Welfare Services
Ability to establish and build meaningful relationships internally and externally
Highly developed communication skills with the ability to prioritise, manage and problem solve
Knowledge of or experience working with Australian Defence Force community
Cert IV in Community Services (or similar) will be advantageous
