We are seeking a talented individual to join our Employee Health & Benefits team at Marsh. This role will be based in Auckland. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.

You will lead the day-to-day operations for employee life and health benefit programs in the New Zealand market, combining hands-on administration with people leadership and continuous improvement initiatives. The role requires strong technical knowledge, operational ownership, and a focus on delivering excellent client service.

We will count on you to:

  • Lead the administration of employee life and health benefits, ensuring accurate processing of policy documentation, renewals, invoicing and claims support
  • Act as an escalation point for complex client and insurer enquiries, resolving issues and delivering pragmatic outcomes
  • Supervise, coach and develop a local and offshore team, managing workloads and fostering a high-performing culture
  • Drive process improvements, automation opportunities and system enhancements to increase efficiency and accuracy
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with insurers, brokers, internal consultants and other stakeholders
  • Ensure compliance with Marsh policies and New Zealand regulatory requirements, supporting audit readiness

What you need to have:

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in the New Zealand Life and/or Health insurance market or employee benefits administration with strong technical knowledge
  • Proven people leadership experience with at least 2 years supervising or leading teams, including coaching and performance management
  • Hands-on transactional experience comfortable with processing and quality-checking client transactions
  • Solid understanding of New Zealand industry practices and regulatory context affecting life and health products
