Provides direct employee assistance program services to EAP clients. Services include consultation and training to the organization, development of program awareness activities, employee/family assessment and referral, establishment of community linkages, case monitoring and follow-up.The following is a summary of the major essential functions of this job. The incumbent may perform other duties, both major and minor, that are not mentioned below. In addition, specific functions may change from time to time:
Provide short-term problem resolution or referral and follow up services to employees and their families
Provided crisis intervention and staffs all critical cases with EAP director
Maintains effective and confidential record keeping and data management reporting
Provides critical incident stress debriefing for groups of employees in response to traumatic incidents
Provides timely and quality supervisory/leadership training and consultation services to managers regarding troubled employees
Participates in the evaluation of the EAP process and outcome in terms of program utilization, quality of services provided, and the attainment of the objectives
Provides the development of policy and procedures related to EAP services
Establishes effective working relationships and evaluates community referral resources that provide affordable high-quality services to EAP clients
Participates as liaison between EAP clients, supervisory personnel, and referral resources
Other duties as assigned
The following qualifications, or equivalents, are the minimum requirements necessary to perform the essential functions of this job:
Master's degree in a clinical human services discipline, i.e., counseling, social work or psychology required
North Carolina licensure in Social Work (LCSW), Professional Counseling (LCMHC) or Psychology required
Certified Employee Assistance Professional (CEAP) preferred
3 years’ experience, including 2 years in the following areas: employee assistance, out-patient mental health, alcohol and/or chemical dependency treatment, inpatient psychiatric practice, or private psychotherapy practice required
Knowledge of core EAP services and clinical assessment skills
Computer skills
Knowledge of the age and developmental level of clients as follows: children ages 6-12 years, adolescents ages 13-18 years, young adults ages 18-30 years and middle adults ages 30-65 years
Ability to move about multiple facilities
Ability to hear and communicate clearly in counseling sessions, group meetings, telephonically, and virtual platforms
