The EMEA Retail Marketing & Central Europe Marketing Manager is accountable for the conception and coordination of 360° marketing activities for Central Europe (GE, BeNeLux and CH), designing , developing and implementing programs to promote the organization's products, brands and services using events, media and sales / POS promotions. S/He is also be the press contact for German, BeNeLux and CH. This role requires a blend of strategic thinking, creative execution, and strong communication skills to successfully promote the organization's offerings and maintain positive media relations.

  • Accountable tto build and execute the marketing plan for Central Europe to support the growth objectives for the territory, in alignment with the Country Managers and in coordination with the sales force on the field..
  • Manages the marketing budgets for Central Europe. Manages the promo fund budget and follows up on expenses..
  • Develops and implements brand specific strategies as well as concrete actions to drive lead & sales generation for Central Europe.
  • Accountable for the end-to-end event organization for Central Europe (boat shows, dealer meetings, end users testing days…), targeted marketing communication, design, use of marketing and boat show material, transport and budget follow-up.
  • Partners with the dealer network to enhance their POS, web sites and (social) media presence by developing creative, clearly written materials in accordance with editorial and style guidelines.
  • The Marketing Manager oversees the brand's social media pages, creating engaging content that attracts attention and encourages followers to interact with the brand. 
  • Develops strategies for social influencers, builds relationships with pro-anglers, and creates engaging content for social media, while maintaining connections with bloggers and the online community.
  • Identifies target groups and determines the communication strategy.
  • Has content ownership for the b2b and b2c communication through the systems used by the company, using MercuryMarine.com as the company main website.
  • Accountable for coordinating the translation work for Central Europe and proof reading for marketing media..
  • Coordinates the production/distribution to sales channel of POS material such as multimedia packages, posters, manuals, fliers, catalogues, banners, in line with the marketing communication plan
  • Actively participates in international projects across EMEA
  • Uses specific marketing strategies and media to support the new product launch in Central Europe in alignment with the EMEA new product introduction plan.

  • As the point of contact for the press in Central Europe, the EMEA Retail Marketing & Central Europe Marketing Manager is responsible for building strong relationships with press contacts, coordinating translation and communication of press releases, and organizing product tests.

Skills & Knowledge

  • Ideally a marketing and/or commercial degree
  • Minimum 5-year experience in Marketing in a b2b environment
  • Very strong event-organization & project- management talent,
  • Crafting compelling and persuasive content for digital platforms
  • Strong interpersonal & communication skills with internal and external parties
  • Able to respect & meet deadlines. Good time management skills and the ability to multitask
  • Ability to work in a multi-cultural business environment.
  • Open-minded

  • Available for some business travel

  • Team spirit

Language skills:

  • German, Dutch and English is a must, written and spoken at advanced level. French would also be considered an asset.

IT skills:

  • Computer literate with adequate knowledge of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Business Object.
  • Experience with Digital Marketing (Knowledge on AdWords & Social media sponsor campaigns)

Our offer:

This exciting position is classified as Global Grade 12 and offers a salary range between €64,500 to €82,000 (payable in 13.92 instalments). Please be aware that this range represents the pay scale for all positions within the job grade in which the post falls. The actual salary offer will consider a wide range of factors, including skills, experience, and location.
