The Red Hat People (HR) team is looking for an EMEA based (preferably Brno, or Prague) People Relations Specialist. In this role, you will help managers and associates navigate the complexities of workplace concerns, support performance management efforts, and will contribute with both hands-on and strategic support of our people managers through performance management and workplace conflict issues to cultivate an innovative, high-performing, and inclusive culture. To facilitate a positive experience for our associates and managers you will need to have a solid foundation in best practices for resolving workplace concerns and conflicts and prove the ability to lead or support sensitive workplace investigations and organizational change initiatives. A successful People Relations Specialist will demonstrate excellent leadership skills while providing feedback, coaching and mentoring for all levels, functional areas, and geographic regions.
What will you do?
Drive alignment with Red Hat Values through coaching and mentoring associates and managers related to performance, conduct, conflict resolution, and involuntary separations across all levels of the organization
Work to mitigate associate conduct risks and improve managerial capability and organizational effectiveness through the adherence to Employee Relations (ER) policy, procedure and practices
Conduct investigations for sensitive employee relations matters including conducting interviews, ensuring appropriate documentation, and litigation support as necessary
Consult with Global Risk and Compliance consultants, Internal and External Counsel, and other stakeholders and partners to ensure consistent interpretation and application of policy and practice related to ER case handling for effective resolution of complex employee relations issues
Proactively assess team, manager, and organizational development needs, make recommendations, and work with People Team Partners to influence the evolution of programs and offerings
Provide reporting for relevant stakeholders to identify trends
Participate and lead ad hoc projects as an internal subject matter expert
Successfully manage multiple stakeholders and priorities with an unpredictable workload
Demonstrate sensitivity, professionalism, and discretion in all aspects of your responsibilities
What will you bring?
Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent, from an accredited educational institution
5+ years of employee relations in a fast-paced environment
Demonstrated high level of professionalism, discretion, and confidentiality
Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build trust and influence at all levels of an organization and through cultural differences
Strong writing skills, documentation of investigations, and communication to all parties throughout the investigations process.
Critical thinking and problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Results-focused with the ability to take initiative and be proactive,
Working knowledge of HR database systems and excellent computer and analytical skills;
Ability to adapt and thrive in a complex global organization with a fast paced and team oriented environment
