ELEVATOR BLENDER

Position Summary:
We are seeking a motivated, self-driven Elevator Blender who is passionate about delivering high-quality products to the mill. This individual will make operational decisions, adjust production plans when necessary, and maintain effective communication with leadership and team members.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
 The employee will be responsible for the following tasks:

  • Self-motivated and able to work independently
  • Prepare and deliver the best quality product to the mill
  • Make decisions on what product to prepare for mill operations
  • Adjust plans as needed to meet production needs
  • Follow directions from Manager and Lead personnel
  • Learn and operate software to:
  • Create blends
  • Complete inventory
  • Print and complete MSS work orders when required
  • Print other documents as needed
  • Maintain strong communication and interaction with team members
  • Run and operate large equipment including Fork truck, Bobcat, Gator, Shuttle Wagon
  • Perform minor mechanical repairs on equipment when necessary
  • Work in both office and grain elevator environments
  • Work alongside team during long days as needed (days, evenings, nights, weekends, holidays)
  • Perform other duties as assigned
     

Qualifications & Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of 3 years of operations experience
  • Mechanical aptitude for minor repairs
  • Strong reading comprehension, writing, and math skills
  • Must accept accountability and work well in a team environment
  • Ability and willingness to work any shift, including occasional 12-hour shifts, weekends, holidays, and potential 7-day work periods
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future
  • Must be able to read, interpret instructions/technology, and communicate effectively in English
  • Must have a proven history of working safely and following established safety procedures
     

Physical Requirements & Working Conditions:

  • Ability to perform computer/administrative tasks
  • Ability to wear required PPE (safety glasses, protective footwear, hard hat, hearing protection, respirator when required)
  • Ability to work rotating schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Exposure to hot/cold temperatures, inclement weather
  • Dusty environment including wheat/gluten allergens
  • Indoor/outdoor work settings
  • Noisy environment
  • Ability to work safely, which may include:
  • Frequently climbing stairs/ladders
  • Occasionally lifting, shoveling, carrying
  • Occasionally pushing/pulling
  • Working in confined or elevated spaces
  • Must be clean shaven when tasks require respiratory protection to ensure proper seal and the use of a respirator (including N-95 dust mask)

Additional Requirements:

  • Must pass pre-employment drug test and background check (except where it is prohibited by law)
  • Must be willing to work long days including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays

Team members must be clean shaven in order to perform tasks where respiratory protection is required and the use of a respirator (including N-95 dust mask) requires a proper seal for adequate protection.

Competitive Compensation:

We provide market-driven base pay, based on skills, abilities, and level of experiences. Our salary ranges are broad, and individual salary will be market competitive based on a candidate’s unique set of skills and level of experience. The starting range for this position is $18.80 - $25.18, with additional earning potential possible commensurate with experience. Additionally, we believe that our team members are the reason for our success and all team members are incentive eligible with a target based on contribution, company performance, and individual results achieved. While the specific bonus plan and target amount will be determined based on the role and breadth of contributions, the targeted bonus plan and targeted percentage amount for this role is Bonus - OIP, 5% Annual.
