Job Description:

Silver Palm Technologies (SP), a Parsons company, is looking for a talented electronics intern to join our team! You will have amazing opportunity to perform basic assembly, test and troubleshooting tasks within a variety of RF and digital products.  You will become skilled in the use of electronic test equipment, the collection of test data and the ability to trouble shoot electrical equipment.  While this position is primarily in a production environment, you will have the opportunity to work and collaborate with senior team members, interface with the engineering/design team and gain hands-on experience within an ITAR controlled environment!

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Assembly, trouble-shooting and final test on a variety of products and sub-assemblies

  • Fabrication of sub-assemblies and cable harnesses.

  • Participating in final inspections and packaging for outgoing products.

  • Assisting with the preparation and updating of documentation

  • Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Must be a US citizen or Permanent resident

  • Must have strong organizational skills

  • Must possess strong oral and written communication skills

  • Must be proficient with MS Windows and the Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Must be able to lift/carry up to 40 lbs. on a regular basis

  • Must have experience using hand tools (screw drivers, wrenches, pliers, etc.)

  • Must have knowledge of Electrostatic Discharge mitigation

  • Must be familiar with AC and DC power

  • Must be familiar with the electromagnetic spectrum

  • Must have knowledge of basic schematics/wiring diagrams

Preferred Requirements:

  • Must have familiarity with soldering and wiring splices

  • IPC certification or equivalent preferred

Salary Range: $19.86 - $34.76
