Electronic Technical Support Engineer

What You Will Do 

In this role, you will be responsible for a wide range of engineering and investigative activities, including: 

• Developing and managing detailed investigation plans for Electronic Engine Control units removed from service 

• Producing comprehensive investigation reports linking in-service failures with MRO findings, identifying likely failure modes, root causes and corrective actions 

• Creating and maintaining technical documentation across repair, test and diagnostic processes 

• Providing hands-on engineering support to repair technicians, including component-level diagnostics 

• Designing and improving diagnostic tools to resolve test failures 

• Training technicians in diagnostic tool usage 

• Managing technical and procedural changes within the business 

• Delivering technical support to customers, Original Equipment Manufacturers and internal teams 

• Supporting the global Engine Control Services repair network 

• Managing component obsolescence and supporting cost-reduction initiatives 

• Contributing to continuous improvement of repair processes 

• Ensuring full compliance with EH&S policies and all regulatory requirements 

What You Will Learn

Qualifications We Prefer 

• HNC/HND/Degree in Electronic Engineering (or equivalent relevant experience) 

• Experience with analogue and digital electronic design 

• Background in aerospace or a similar high reliability industry 

• Understanding of aircraft and engine systems 

• Familiarity with automated and functional test equipment 

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills 

• Proven ability to diagnose technical issues and deliver practical solutions
