Amentum is seeking expertise to perform engineering tasks related to Electromagnetic Pulse (EMP) evolutions on naval ship architectures and systems in Dahlgren, VA.
Responsibilities Include:
Minimum Required Qualifications and Skills:
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in an engineering, scientific, or technical discipline.
Six (6) years of demonstrated and established knowledge base and subject matter expertise relevant to one or more of the following, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, Mathematics or Naval Architecture.
Four (4) years of experience in one or more of the following specific areas: Electromagnetic Pulse (EMP); Electromagnetic Environmental Effects (E3); Electromagnetic Interference (EMI); Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC); E3 Computation and Modeling; Pulse Current Injection (PCI) shipboard testing; EMC and RADHAZ certification
Must have an Active Top Secret US Government Clearance. Note: US Citizenship is required to maintain a Top Secret Clearance.
Desired Qualifications:
Experience in Electromagnetic Pulse (EMP) engineering, research, test and evaluation.
Demonstrated experience developing and validating Electromagnetic (EM) survivability requirements for electrical/electronic systems, mechanical systems, interconnects and structures.
Demonstrated experience testing at a variety of EMC / EMP test facilities / capabilities including Mode Stirred chamber, Horizontally Polarized, Vertically Polarized and Bounded Wave simulators.
Demonstrated ability to collect test data, conduct detailed analysis, provide risk to mission analysis and dependency analysis, develop technical and operational conclusions, and write technical reports that meet Sponsor requirements.
