Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities
Skill in the use of electrical testing tools or any tool necessary to complete job assignments.
Knowledge of schematic drawings; of electrical trouble shooting; of electrical codes; of maintenance, construction and repair; of the hazards and safety precautions of the work; and of departmental policies and procedures.
Ability to maintain physical stamina to perform heavy labor; to logically plan order of work and phases of jobs; to estimate man hours required and cost for specific jobs; and to use hand and mechanical tools and equipment.
Computer Skills
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Database software, Internet software, Inventory Control software, Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software.
Supervisory Responsibilities
This job has no supervisory responsibilities.
Education and/or Experience
High school diploma or GED; plus one to three months related experience and/or training.
Language Skills
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers and employees of the organization.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumferences, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
Valid Oklahoma Driver’s License possessed for at least 6 months
Defensive Driving with Tulsa County within 6 months of hired
Electrical Apprentice License or must be able to obtain it within six months of employment.
