About the role
Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, the Electrical Technician will be responsible for the maintenance, repair and continuous improvement of mechanical assets across our malt distilling sites.
You’ll work closely with Operations, CAPEX and other engineering teams (Electrical & C&I) to maximise asset reliability and availability, using SAP-PM to plan, record and deliver maintenance activities in line with weekly asset care plans and site KPIs.
The role plays a key part in driving Manufacturing Excellence (TRACC), leading improvement workstreams, supporting root cause problem solving, and implementing sustainable, long‑term fixes that improve efficiency, reliability and cost competitiveness.
About you
You’ll hold an HNC (or equivalent experience) in Engineering and bring strong electrical maintenance experience from a production or service environment.
Analytical and organised, you’re comfortable managing multiple priorities, using maintenance and business systems such as SAP, and working both independently and as part of a team.
You communicate effectively at all levels, take pride in high safety, quality and environmental standards, and are motivated by continuous improvement. Experience in distilling or malting environments is desirable, and flexibility is required, as some sites operate 24/7 with participation in a breakdown cover rota.
