Responsible to site’s overall as EHS Manager and Health Officer in HPPK environmental health and safety, Sustainability program, EHSS performance and Dashboard updated and in compliance with legal company requirements at site. Responsible as Health Officer for developing and implementing health and related to any regulations impacting HPPK environmental, health, and safety (EHS) programs for Korea,

  • with the objective to proactively reducing risks and;
  • ensure compliance with Korea Health Law and relevant EHS laws and regulations and HP EHS standards
  • work with the business units and Suppliers/contractors/Subcontractors to ensure the implementation of HP EHS management system and standards.
  • provides expertise to various business units, teams and participate in cross-functional initiatives/activities and programs.
  • track, review, consult and implement Health Regulations and laws within HPPK EHS laws regulations, promulgated by country, province and local regulatory authorities for all work activities, including those at customer sites.

Responsibilities/Accountabilities:

  • Reporting to Global EHS Regional team, as the HP Print Korea EHS Manager/ HPPK Site Lead to ensure that the site’s overall EHS Management and Health Officer responsibilities in HPPK environmental health and safety, Sustainability program, EHSS performance and Dashboard updated and in compliance with legal company requirements at site.
  • Health expertise skills to meet the demands of South Korea growing health issued and workplace related health programs.
  • Plan, develop, and implement health projects, such as health checks, health matters, health environmental issues, ensuring they meet timelines and regulations.

  • Korean health sector with a health focus could involve roles like a Health workplace environment, Health, and Safety (EHS) Professional, which include developing and implementing health programs, conducting health audits, and investigating incidents.
  • Include roles in health development and project management, where knowledge of health is critical for ensuring HPPK business are compliant and safe.
  • The scope often requires fluency in both Korean and English, familiarity with Korean Health laws, and experience in sectors.
  • Participate in regular meetings, communicate on existing Health, or related EHS issues, and work out action plan for these existing Health or EHS issues and ensure effectiveness and focus on continuous improvement.
  • Organize and conduct regular Health inspections or related EHS inspection to discover potential EHS risk, follow up relevant corrective actions till effective closure.
  • Responsible/Support for all Health regulatory Trainings/Programs/licenses/Permit, convening Emergency Response Team members and implementing, conduct Emergency Drill and Response Plan.
  • Responsible/Support for health incident and injury reporting, investigating and corrective actions, and follow up corrective and preventive actions and ensure effective closure.
  • Responsible/Support for identifying and forecasting health or related to EHS training needs and ensure the completion of EHS training for relevant employees.
  • In charge of contractor/supplier management and ensure all contractor/suppliers follow up HP Health and EHS standards and requirements
  • Participate in the process of the project of health programs related in any office renovation and innovation to make sure these projects meet Health or related EHS requirements Liaise with external authorities, such as the local Korea Health authority or bureau, on related EHS issues and is the point of contact for those external agencies.
  • Good knowledge of the Occupational Health, Korea government regulations on implementing rules and regulations for the implementation of the Occupational Health Standards law.

Education and Experience Required

  • Bachelor's degree from accredited college/university with 6+ years of experience in the Health consulting area.
  • 5-10 years of Occupational Health or Workplace Health experience recommended.
  • Certified Health officer license in accordance with Korea Occupational Safety and Health Act and Article 40 of special measurement for the deregulation of corporate activities Act/ Article 17,18 of Occupational Safety and Health Act.
  • Possess valid Safety Officer license - Engineer Industrial Safety
  • Possess valid Health Officer license -Engineer Industrial Hygiene Management
  • Possess valid Engineer Ergonomics qualifications
  • Possess valid Industrial Engineer Hazardous material
  • Excellent people management skills and experience with an affinity for client-facing activities; personable and engaging
  • Ability to listen and understand BU/customer sustainability “pain points”, and address those pains by mapping to sustainable solutions
  • Excellent communication, presentation and time management skills
  • Ability to develop and thrive in a team-oriented environment.

Knowledge and Skills

  • Sound knowledge of Health and related EHS legislation relates to South Korea.
  • Experience with health programs work preferably with industry technology experience.
  • Excellent management skills and experience, personable and engaging
  • A strong desire to infuse technology solutions in order to evolve effective, quality and timely delivery; proven software development involvement is preferred
  • Experience, education and/or strong desire to manage people
  • Excellent health and related software technical abilities to manage database.
  • Excellent communication skills, including English.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strategic thinking, planning, and business acumen.
  • Ability to operate in complex, high stress environments. Ability to provide guidance and direction to others.
  • Good knowledge on implementing, understanding rules and regulations of the Health Standards related to Air Emission, Noise, Waste & Water, Laboratory management, Industrial Hygiene, Workplace Ergonomic, Fire Safety, Training and ISO Systems.
  • Trained Internal Auditor or Qualified Lead auditor certificate for ISO14K/45K Management System
  • Trained and qualified in First Aider and good knowledge in Health management

  • Good communication skills in English and Korean
  • Good teamwork skills.
  • Basic analytical and risk assessment skills.
  • Sound knowledge of Health Management and related EHS legislation as it relates to Korea.
