You will lead environmental compliance for a GSK site in the United States. You will work with operations, engineering, sustainability, and external regulators to keep the site compliant, safe, and resource-efficient. We seek someone who solves problems clearly, builds strong relationships, and acts with integrity. This role will provide YOU the opportunity to lead key activities to progress YOUR career. These responsibilities include some of the following:

  • Maintain and improve site compliance for air, water, waste, and stormwater programs.
  • Lead permitting, regulatory reporting, and inspections with federal, state, and local agencies.
  • Investigate environmental incidents, lead root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.
  • Support capital projects with environmental risk assessments and permitting input.
  • Manage environmental monitoring, recordkeeping, and internal compliance audits.
  • Coach site staff and contractors on environmental requirements and best practices.


Why You?
Basic Qualification

We are seeking professionals with the following required skills and qualifications to help us achieve our goals:

  • Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, engineering, chemistry or public health and safety
  • 5+ years of environmental compliance experience in an industrial or manufacturing setting
  • Experience managing permits, regulatory reporting, and agency communications
  • Experience in incident investigation and corrective action


Preferred Qualification:
If you have the following characteristics, it would be a plus:

  • Advanced degree in environmental science or engineering.
  • Experience in pharmaceutical, biologics, or highly regulated manufacturing environments.
  • Professional certification such as Certified Hazardous Materials Manager or Registered Environmental Professional.
  • Experience with environmental management systems, such as ISO 14001.
  • Familiarity with process safety, biosafety, or occupational health interfaces.
  • Experience with environmental compliance software and permitting tools.
  • Strong knowledge around high risk work
  • Practical knowledge of US environmental regulations for air, water, waste, and stormwater.
  • Strong collaboration skills with operations, engineering, and EHS teams
