Bright Horizons College Coach has been assisting families in achieving their education goals for more than 20 years. With a strong service mission, commitment to excellence, and focus on ethical guidance, we work with tens of thousands of families who receive our services for free through their employer-sponsored benefit and hundreds more via our more traditional independent consulting service. This is a Part Time, Seasonal position; starting in July 2026 and ending in October/November 2026. Part time hours offered in any increment between 12pm - 5pm EST, Monday through Friday.

The Education Finance Associate will provide unbiased expert guidance to help College Coach clients to understand college funding options, loan repayment strategies, and financial literacy information.

Responsibilities:

  • Build on college finance experience to work with a diverse group of College Coach clients at various socioeconomic levels and help them successfully navigate the higher education system and complex education finance questions

  • Conduct 1-1 counseling sessions about education finance by phone or in person

  • Respond to helpdesk inquiries from corporate clients with professional prose

  • Manage all administrative functions required for service delivery

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree (3 years of additional experience would be considered in lieu of an applicable degree)

  • 3 years Experience managing Student Financial Aid (SFA) and institutional aid programs

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 3 years experience at multiple colleges or universities

  • Experience should include needs analysis, packaging and appeals review, and extensive contact with students and parents

  • Thorough understanding of student loan repayment strategies preferred

  • Intimate understanding of the FSA regulations, merit aid processes, awarding processes at private colleges, and student and parent borrowing opportunities Fluency with basic software, web-based platforms, and Microsoft Office products (specifically Excel, PowerPoint, & Word)

  • Ability to maintain a professional manner under stressful situations and to manage difficult constituent expectations

  • Ability to self-motivate and work independently to meet all deadlines, administrative, and client responsibilities; and be a team player

Compensation:

The hourly rate for this position is between $28.85 – $35.00 per hour. The pay range listed here is what Bright Horizons in good faith anticipates offering for this job opening. Actual compensation offers within this range will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education and training, certifications, geography, and other relevant business or organizational factors.
