ECP Spring 2026 - West Coast Operations & Programme Support

This role is not eligible for relocation or work authorization support.

This role is a full-time onsite employment contract of 6 months at the San Francisco World Economic Forum office.

Early Careers Programme start dates are between 15 March and 15 April 2026.

Monthly gross compensation of USD $4,550.

Objective of the Programme:

The San Francisco Office of the World Economic Forum is one of two US locations and is home to staff from the Urban Transformation Centre, the Centre for AI Excellence, and Financial Monetary Systems, among others. The San Francisco office hosts large summits, ambassadorial and political delegations, and CEO roundtables.

This role supports the delivery of the West Coast Strategy for the San Francisco office, local events, and other teams in the San Francisco office as needed. This hands-on role focuses on program management, event coordination, stakeholder engagement, research, and project administration. In this role one will play an instrumental role in orchestrating everything from small to large events, research and analysis, and interactions with executive stakeholders.

Scope of Work:

Research, Insights and Knowledge Development

  • Conduct research to support strategic planning and program development.
  • Build and organize local stakeholder lists for identified target public, private, and academic industry sectors.
  • Collect, analyze, and synthesize data to provide insights and topical opportunities to engage locally.

Operations, Planning and Project Management

  • Help the delivery of the San Francisco strategic workplan, which includes program structures, timelines, attendee profiles, milestones, and deliverables.
  • Identify logistical requirements for networking events, workshops, learning journeys, and topic-based meetings and convenings.
  • Work with the Hospitality & Operations Team for program execution and onsite delivery fulfilment.

Communications and Reporting

  • Draft presentations specific to audience engagement profiles.
  • Prepare briefing notes, documentation of outcomes, and impact stories.
  • Assist with tracking programme admin and budget including expenses.

Cross-Team Support

  • Provide research, analysis, and stakeholder engagement support to other teams as needed.

Desired Skills and Competencies:

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail; ability to manage multiple tasks.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication in English.
  • Interest in Bay Area innovation and public-private collaboration.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, digital collaboration tools, and CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce).
  • Experience in research, data analytics, event or program coordination, and hospitality; adaptable to changing needs.
