Rapid urbanisation is reshaping how people live, work, and access essential services. Cities are increasingly at the centre of economic growth, climate action, technological adoption, and public service delivery—including health and wellbeing. Addressing these interconnected challenges requires integrated, multistakeholder approaches that translate insight into action at scale.
To support this work, we are recruiting additional capacity to strengthen research, programme delivery, stakeholder engagement, and knowledge development across our initiatives. While the role is anchored in urban transformation, it is designed to remain flexible and adaptable across closely related domains, particularly where urban systems intersect with health, healthcare delivery, and population wellbeing.

By investing in this role, we aim to ensure our initiatives are supported by the analytical and delivery capacity required to drive impact while retaining the flexibility to contribute to adjacent areas, including health and healthcare, as priorities evolve.
Main responsibilities
Project scoping and contextual research: Conduct structured desk research on global and China-specific developments, market dynamics, and policy trends relevant to the Centre’s priority initiatives. Support the adaptation and localisation of Centre initiatives to ensure relevance and effectiveness within the China context.
Data management and analysis: Support the maintenance, organisation, and analysis of quantitative and qualitative data to inform programme development, tracking, and decision-making.
Stakeholder engagement and programme support: Contribute to the design and delivery of Centre-led engagements and events, including agenda development, speaker identification and outreach, and content preparation.
Communications and knowledge support: Support marketing and communications activities by maintaining up-to-date bilingual materials. Provide ad hoc support including translation, drafting of meeting notes and briefings, and preparation of internal and external documentation.
