Objective of the Programme:
The World Economic Forum is expanding its work on Experience Economy including sports, major events, and the 24-Hour Economy to unlock their potential as drivers of economic development, community impact, and more resilient local economies. This includes a new global multistakeholder initiative on sports bringing together business, governments, cities, sports organizations, and civil society to address key challenges, share best practices, and spark collaboration.
In parallel, the Forum continues to scale its work on the 24-Hour Economy, supporting communities and businesses to leverage culture and experience-driven activities to strengthen local economies and quality of life.
As these workstreams grow in scope and partner engagement, we are recruiting additional support to help deliver convenings, coordinate multistakeholder communities, develop content and insights, and support effective cross-Forum coordination.
We are seeking an Early Career Programme trainee to support the development and delivery of our work on sports and the 24-Hour Economy. This role will support community building, convenings, content development, and cross-Forum coordination for two growing workstreams that sit at the intersection of economic development, communities, and the experience economy.
The role offers exposure to senior leaders from business, government, sports organizations, and civil society, and provides hands-on experience in multistakeholder initiatives, global convenings, and strategic project delivery.
Scope of Work:
- 35% Coordination and project management. Support day-to-day coordination across the sports and 24-Hour Economy workstreams, including communication and alignment with teams across the Forum, tracking timelines and deliverables, and providing general project management support to ensure smooth execution of activities.
- 25% Community and partner engagement. Support outreach to existing partners and potential stakeholders across business, government, sports federations and leagues, and civil society. Assist with maintaining partner relationships, tracking engagement, and supporting ongoing community management activities.
- 25% Convenings and events support. Support the curation, development, and delivery of convenings and events. This includes maintaining a convenings calendar, supporting agenda development, and providing administrative and logistical support before, during, and after meetings.
- 15% Content curation and planning. Support the curation and development of content, including briefing notes, session materials, and summaries. Assist with planning and maintaining a calendar of content releases aligned with key milestones and convenings.

- Content accuracy and organization, ensuring that briefing materials, meeting notes, and digital content are well structured, accurate, and kept up to date, and supporting content planning aligned with key milestones.
- Proactive contribution and reliability, shown through responsiveness, attention to detail, and the ability to anticipate needs and support the team in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; additional languages are an asset
