For expansion of Belgrade based team of technical specialists, EBV Elektronik is offering the following position:

Technical Support Center Engineer

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized engineer with a dynamic approach to electronic component selection and automation tool development. The ideal candidate will work on optimizing the component selection process and developing scripting-based automation tools to enhance design workflows in the electronics domain.

What You Will Do

  • Provide selection and evaluation of electronic components for new projects, ensuring optimal choices for performance, cost, and availability.
  • Develop, maintain, and improve automation tools using scripting languages (such as Python) to streamline component selection processes.
  • Collaborate closely with the sales and engineering teams to understand specific project requirements and provide expert advice on component alternatives.
  • Contribute to the creation and upkeep of internal databases and knowledge bases related to approved components, suppliers, and design best practices.
  • Train and support engineering staff in the effective use of automation tools and component selection methodologies.
  • Engage with franchise partners to stay current on new products, tools, and technologies relevant to the component selection process.

Skills and Background Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree (academic or applied studies) or higher in Electrical engineering or a related field
  • Proficiency in at least one scripting language (e.g., Python or similar).
  • Good understanding of electronics, including components, systems, and design principles.
  • Experience in, or strong understanding of electronic component selection and electronic design automation tools is a plus
  • Hardware design experience is a plus.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to automate repetitive engineering tasks.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Fluent in English, verbally and in writing
