About the role:
As the Early Intervention Injury Management Advisor, you will oversee activity of pre-claim and early intervention injury management for our Bunnings team members, including prompt receipt of medical certificates and return to work planning with team members, site leaders and treating health practitioners.
You will coach our operational site leaders to improve understanding and implementation of early intervention injury management processes.
This is job share arrangement for 2 days per week with an immediate start located in the Bunnings National Support Office, Burnley OR NSW Support Office, Rhodes
What's involved:
Be the first point of contact for injured team members and sites post injury, providing guidance across the end-to-end process
Conduct initial needs assessments, including ensuring sites have followed procedures and appropriate documentation has been obtained, as well as determining impact of pre-existing conditions
Coach and guide operational site teams on benefits of early intervention and recovery at work programs
Work collaboratively with Injury Management Advisors to support handover for Workers Compensation Cases
Ensure appropriate and accurate reporting of incidents and any relevant injury information
Who we’re looking for:
You will be a compassionate, engaging, and knowledgeable injury management professional with a passion for early intervention, who thrives when working in a fast-paced environment. Your understanding the benefits of early intervention will support you to provide well rounded advice and guidance to our leaders across the business on best practice early intervention processes and procedures.
You will be skilled at working with a broad range of stakeholders, with abilities to negotiate and influence positive outcomes for both the team member and the business. You will have a high level of attention to detail and be effective at planning, prioritising and organising your time to autonomously manage your own workload, whilst also collaborating with your job share partner.
You’ll need:
Demonstrated 5 years plus experience in an operational role within Injury Management, ideally with a focus on early intervention
Demonstrated knowledge of Workers Compensation, Injury Management legislation and Pre-Claims Procedures, ideally within a self-insured environment
Tertiary qualification in allied health, nursing or medical related field
Return to Work Coordinators Course
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
