Job Description Summary

The Due Diligence Manager will join Cushman & Wakefield’s National Due Diligence Team and be based in Vancouver, British Columbia. The candidate will focus on western Canada markets and oversee a team responsible for broad business development, marketing, research and underwriting requirements across all asset classes inclusive of office, retail, industrial, multi-family, land and alternatives. The successful applicant will be part of an efficient, high-performance national team, and offers significant opportunities for personal and professional growth.

Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and participate in the generation of all marketing materials including comprehensive offering memorandums
  • Oversee and participate in business development activities including creation of advisory and disposition proposals as well as responding to requests for proposals, opinions of value, buyer mandates, etc.
  • Oversee and participate in the collection and analysis of market data to support listing activities
  • Oversee and complete due diligence reviews including detailed lease analysis, physical, financial, environmental and title documents
  • Oversee and complete research of the relevant land use planning context to assist with the analysis of development opportunities
  • Oversee and assist with the creation of proforma financial models using Argus Enterprise or Excel and ability to present the associated cash flow analysis / valuation in proposals / presentations
  • Liaise with brokers and clients throughout all stages of the business development/listing/marketing process – This includes attending strategy meetings to discuss required analysis for pitch/proposal and corresponding assumptions and scenarios as needed
  • Liaise with National Due Diligence Team members nationally
  • Liaise with Cushman & Wakefield employees in other service lines (such as marketing, research and analytics) and geographies
  • Act in a project management capacity to ensure timely delivery of all projects to brokers, including organizing with other members of the National Due Diligence team

What we are looking for:

  • 3-5 years of work experience with a minimum 2 years of experience in real estate
  • An undergraduate degree (preferably with a focus on business/finance, real estate or urban planning)
  • Professional designations such as AACI or CFA are strong asset
  • Strong understanding of key real estate concepts, principles of valuation and ability to identify property risks / opportunities
  • Strong understanding of capital markets including debt and equity
  • Strong written communication skills (sample to be provided)
  • Strong technology skills with solid knowledge of Excel, Word and PowerPoint
  • Strong knowledge of the real estate market dynamics in western Canada
  • Competency with Argus Enterprise software and intermediate analytical and financial modeling skills
  • Ability to systematically manage a heavy workload and meet stringent deadlines
  • Strong project management skills
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Accountability for meeting deadlines and providing quality materials
  • Flexibility to work irregular or extended hours
  • Self-starter with the ability to take direction
  • Ability to distill large amounts of data into salient points




 

 

 


The compensation that will be offered to the successful candidate will depend on factors such as whether the position is covered by a collective bargaining agreement, the geographic area in which the work will be performed, market pay rates in that area, and the candidate’s experience and qualifications.


The company will not pay less than minimum wage for this role.


The compensation for the position is: $ 89,250.00 - $105,000.00
