Key Responsibilities:

Assist employees and guests

– Ensure that WV PNG Employees and guests have a vehicle for travelling on time.

Conduct regular checks on vehicles for status

- All vehicles are physically and legally fit for driving in country.

- All log books kept and maintained on a monthly basis and all usages of vehicles are identified from sheets/books.

Fuel consumption and efficiency

-Maintain vehicle-wise fuel consumption information.

Documentation

-All documents are the place so that no legal incompliance occurred.

-Maintain copies of documents in an orderly manner.

-Make sure that the security policy is respected

Project Implementation

  • Drive project field officers to the project site on time for project activity implementations.

  • Arrange and ensure timely delivery of procured materials to the project sites.

  • Coordinate deliveries from various suppliers to the office.

  • Work with Supervisors to stock goods received in the right place and keep a good record of what was received.

  • Receive instructions and direction from supervisor and attend to other operation tasks assigned. 

  • Vehicle fuel usage is correctly recorded and reported to admin staff.

Safety and Security

  • Drive carefully and with precaution at all times.

  •  Ensure vehicles used for project activity implementation are always kept safe and secure.

  • Make good judgment during road block/accidents and use good negotiation skills to avoid unnecessary confrontations/conflicts.

  • Compile vehicle accident or accident reports and submit on time to the supervisor

Vehicle Management

  • Vehicles are washed and cleaned after every field trip is done.

  • Any mechanical fault in the vehicle are correctly identified and report in a timely manner.

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION/SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE 

  • Certificate in Secondary Education and hold current class 6 driving license.

  • Must have 2-3 years’ experience in driving a vehicle

  • Excellent driving skills

  • Have basic mechanical repair knowledge about vehicle  engine.

  • Understand administrative and logistics issues.

  • Ability to analysis problems and take next course of action.

  • Proven experience as a team player

  • Demonstration of Networking and collaboration skill

  • Must have basic computer skills
