Air Liquide Healthcare Australia are a leading and dedicated supplier of medical gases, homecare and sleep services. We specialise in respiratory diseases and have a strong reputation in sleep diagnostics and CPAP therapy.

Provide patients at home a suite of services (including Medical Device installation, training/coaching according to the patient's needs), to support them with their chronic diseases within the framework of the medical prescription as well as local regulations.

How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW?

  • Safe handling of LIN in the process of filling various sized containers, filling each dewar correctly and safely as per the procedure

  • Safely lifting LIN dewar vessels and decanting to customer dewars weighing 15kg, lifting 60 to 150 times per day.


  • Check and fill LIN Vessel in a safe and accurate manner. Report Literage of LIN and complete accurate reporting. 


  • Use Mobi to ensure accurate information is recorded. 


  • Collect run sheet and organise the route of runs as per the run sheet ensuring the route selected is most efficient. Liaise with the Logistics Coordinator regarding the allocation of runs, reporting any issues. 


  • Check and ensure accuracy of records in relation to delivery and return of ALH gas cylinders to and from customers, branches and agents. Address all discrepancies as per Company procedures.


  • Print service calls and run sheets and any other information relating to the preparation of runs. Prepare load sheets and manifests and load delivery vehicles. On return of the vehicle, check paperwork/Mobi and assist with the unloading. Report any issues immediately to the logistics coordinator and/or the Operations Manager. 


  • Assist in the stock take activities for the warehouse.


  • Act upon and report all defective issues with vehicles in a timely manner.


  • Interacting with customers in a professional manner.


  • Maintain a valid MR License and Clean driving Record. Comply with Road and Traffic Rules and Regulations at all times. 


  • Comply at all times with ALH Company policies and procedures, workplace health and safety requirements, MSDS instructions and other safety instructions provided by the Direct Manager. More generally, comply with all policies and regulations applicable to the role.


  • Comply also with safe work procedures and processes applicable at the ALA filling centre site.


  • Other duties as required by the Direct Manager.

The Lifting capacity associated with the role is 15kg due to the weight of the dewars. The Delivery Driver will need to lift dewars anywhere between 60 to 150 times per day. The Delivery Driver will also be required to carry the 15kg vessels from the area of filling to the area of storage which may involve climbing stairs. There is a pushing capacity which requires the pushing of loads mounted on wheels, to weigh up to 150kg and therefore require some power and coordination to control.


The lifting, carrying and pushing component of this position occupies at least 40-50% of a work day. This person will be required to work 38 hours per week (5 days per week). The candidate must be physically fit to fulfil the inherent requirements of the role.  


Are you a MATCH?

  • 1 year delivery, logistical and/or operational experience

  • Valid MR license - essential

  • Dangerous Goods training and Load Restraint training would be a plus

  • Basic technical skills and strong safety focus

  • Computer literacy in applications such as: spreadsheets, documents, GMail and other software applications appropriate to the role

  • Ability to manage competing demands and follow tasks to completion

  • Ability to interpret an extensive variety of instructions, safety rules, operating instructions and procedures from different sources

  • Ability to solve practical problems 

  • Good interpersonal and communication skills. Pleasant, polite phone manner and the ability to speak effectively before customers and other employees

  • Ability to handle cylinders
