About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Dodeca Developer is responsible for designing, developing, enhancing, and supporting Dodeca-based financial reporting and analytical solutions. This role requires strong expertise in Dodeca, Essbase, and financial data modeling, along with the ability to work closely with finance stakeholders to deliver scalable, high‑quality, and compliant reporting applications. The role also involves technical leadership, mentoring, and ownership of end‑to‑end solution delivery.


In this role, you will:

  • Lead moderately complex initiatives and deliverables within technical domain environments
  • Contribute to large scale planning of strategies
  • Design, code, test, debug, and document for projects and programs associated with technology domain, including upgrades and deployments
  • Review moderately complex technical challenges that require an in-depth evaluation of technologies and procedures
  • Resolve moderately complex issues and lead a team to meet existing client needs or potential new clients needs while leveraging solid understanding of the function, policies, procedures, or compliance requirements
  • Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and mid-level managers to resolve technical challenges and achieve goals
  • Lead projects and act as an escalation point, provide guidance and direction to less experienced staff

Required Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

Desired Qualifications:

  • Strong hands-on experience with Dodeca including:
  • Performance tuning and usability optimization
  • Integration with Essbase
  • View and Selector development
  • Application design and configuration
  • In-depth experience with Oracle Essbase (ASO/BSO):
  • Outline design and dimensional modeling
  • Calc scripts and aggregations
  • MaxL scripting
  • Security and performance tuning
  • Strong understanding of multidimensional financial modeling and OLAP concepts.
  • Experience with Star schema design and relational database modeling.
  • Hands-on experience with Oracle and/or SQL Server databases.
  • Experience sourcing data from:
  • Essbase cubes
  • Relational databases
  • File-based sources
  • Metadata management systems such as DRM
  • Experience with UNIX/LINUX shell scripting for automation and batch processing.
  • Experience with job scheduling tools such as CA Autosys.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills across application, data, and infrastructure layers.


Job Expectations:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a closely related field.
  • software development experience in enterprise environments.
  • 4+ years of hands-on experience developing and supporting Dodeca applications.
  • Strong experience working with Essbase (ASO/BSO) as a data source for Dodeca.
  • Proven experience delivering financial reporting and analytical solutions for finance or accounting teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to independently lead complex technical initiatives and resolve production issues.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Design, develop, test, debug, document, and deploy Dodeca applications
    using Agile development practices.
  • Own the end-to-end lifecycle of Dodeca solutions, including
  • Requirements gathering with finance and business users
  • Functional and technical design
  • Development and configuration
  • Testing and validation
  • Production deployment
  • Ongoing maintenance and enhancements
  • develop and maintain Dodeca components including:
  • Views, Worksheets, Selectors, and Dashboards
  • Parameterized and reusable Dodeca solutions
  • Excel-based and custom UI-driven reports
  • Partner with business users to translate financial and reporting requirements into scalable technical solutions.
  • Ensure solutions meet quality, performance, security, and compliance standards.
  • Provide on-call and production support for Dodeca and dependent systems.
  • Act as a technical SME for Dodeca within the team and mentor junior engineers.
  • Experience with Python for automation, utilities, or data validation is preferred /good to have.
  • Experience with BPA Automate for financial process automation.
  • Experience with Oracle EPM tools such as Planning, Financial Reporting, or ODI.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, Git-based version control, and release management.
  • Experience working in financial services or banking environments.
  • Knowledge of SOX controls, audit processes, and regulatory compliance.
  • Experience leading design reviews and influencing technical architecture decisions.
  • Ability to act as a senior individual contributor and technical leader. Strong collaboration skills with finance, product, QA, and infrastructure teams.
  • Ability to mentor junior team members and conduct code/design reviews.
  • Strong ownership mindset with attention to detail and delivery excellence.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
