DESCRIPTION:
 

Oversee and manage the entire warehouse and logistics functions; establishing and integrating the infrastructure and resources to ensure efficient and effective operation of the receiving, raw materials & finished goods store, and logistics function to meet business and customer needs.

a) Plan & manage the resources to ensure customer’s orders are met in a timely manner.

b) Manage the operation and ensure it meets or exceeds the overall department of KPI and Goals & Objective targets.

c) Initiate, plan and manage warehouse logistics activities to operate at an optimum level to drive efficiency and productivity. Manage DC capacity, productivity, and cost saving projects as assigned.

d) Train and develop resources to optimize their contribution to the achievement of department and company goals.

e) Manage and work with other functions and departments to ensure flawless communication and execution.

f) Review and plan regularly for warehouse space to meet additional storage requirements for production ramp-up, excess inventory receipt, PAC program, including physical re-layout or sourcing external warehouse.

g) Attend to all customer complaints and issues relating to shipment like wrong documentation, damages, mis-shipment, claim, etc.

Participate actively in the Environment, Health and Safety committee and ensure compliance by store and warehouse personnel on all aspects of safe materials handling, storage, precautions, and proper attire. Ensure the systems and procedures in the warehouse operation are in compliance with existing ISO & QSR Standards (for example: ISO9001, ISO13485, ISO14971 & QSR21CFR, ISO45001:2018 and WHO Good Distribution Practice) requirements

i) Involve in 5S program and Just-Do-It activities.

j) Lead continuous improvement (PPI Kaizen) projects.

k) Ensure all Distribution and Manufacturing sites adhere to global cycle count policy.

l) Review sites inventory accuracy metrics for trends and develop strategic plan to meet goal.


REQUIREMENTS:

Education

  • Degree, diploma or equivalent in supply chain management, distribution, logistics, business studies or other related disciplines.

Experience

  • At least 6 years experience in Logistics or warehouse management experience
  • At least 3 years experience in SAP warehouse and inventory modules
  • 3 years managerial experience in supply chain, manufacturing operation environment, or in running a logistics hub. Preferably with good knowledge in inventory control process
  • 3 years experience in project and people management

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

  • Strong supply chain, distribution and/or warehousing logistics management knowledge
  • Knowledge and experience of Safety, HAZMAT, Dangerous Goods, Controlled Substances, IATA related regulations
  • Knowledge and experience of Quality Management Systems and Regulatory Compliance requirements
  • Demonstrated ability of achieve and exceed operational metrics and KPIs
  • Demonstrated team leadership, motivating & developing employees, conflict management skills, analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize important work requirements
  • Good knowledge of SAP functions in distribution, logistics, inventory management modules
  • Team player with a strong positive outlook. Good attention to details
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills. Cross-functional and multicultural orientation.
  • Comfortable with matrix reporting work environment
  • Experience in developing and managing annual operating budget in consultation with management, finance and internal stakeholders
  • Experience with GMP, ISO or related regulated environments preferred
  • Knowledge in Lean, Six Sigma, PPI and other continuous improvement program implementation and Root Cause Analysis tools
  • Proficient in WMS application and MS office
  • Project management skills
