The Role

The Dishwasher is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards for dishes, kitchen equipment, and food preparation areas. This role ensures all kitchen tools and workspaces are clean, organized, and ready for use while supporting overall kitchen operations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Wash and sanitize all china, glassware, flatware, pots, and pans using dishwashers or by hand.
• Clean and maintain kitchen equipment and utensils in proper working condition.
• Store all cleaned equipment and supplies in designated areas.
• Sweep and mop kitchen floors to maintain a clean and safe environment.
• Ensure all kitchen work areas meet cleanliness and sanitation standards.
• Assist with transporting food, equipment, and supplies throughout the venue as needed.
• Support kitchen staff with additional tasks as assigned by the management team.

QUALIFICATIONS

To perform this job successfully, the candidate must be able to perform each essential duty above at the highest levels. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

• Availability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, holidays, and extended shifts as required.
• Ability to perform physical tasks including standing for long periods, bending, reaching, lifting, and repetitive motions.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Strong attention to cleanliness, safety, and organization.

Education and/or Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred, but not required.
• Previous experience in a restaurant, hospitality, or kitchen environment is a plus, but not required.
• Demonstrated reliability, including strong attendance, punctuality, and the ability to follow through on assigned tasks.
• Ability to work in fast-paced environments while maintaining consistency and attention to detail.
• Willingness to learn and take direction in a team setting.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• Strong work ethic and reliability.
• Basic understanding of cleanliness and sanitation practices.
• Good communication skills and ability to follow instructions.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
