Join our Global Disaster Management Team and become a vital support to the Global Lead for Disaster Management. In this role, you will help streamline daily operations, share important updates, and create resources that keep colleagues connected and informed. You will build relationships across diverse, multicultural teams, facilitate the flow of information, and help others access the tools and knowledge they need to make a real difference. Your contributions will ensure the Global Lead’s meetings and engagements are thoroughly prepared, with professional materials that support clear communication and informed decision-making. Key Responsibilities
70% Amplify Engagement, Collaboration & Content Quality
Craft and share compelling internal updates and resources that build meaningful connections between the Disaster Management Team and key internal stakeholders.
Design and execute an internal content plan that supports organizational priorities and raises the profile of Disaster Management initiatives.
Maintain an internal communications calendar, mapping audiences, key messages, communication needs, and preferred channels for timely, targeted outreach.
Create, edit, and publish high-quality content across multiple formats, including newsletters, updates, presentations, and intranet posts, tailored to diverse internal audiences.
Work closely with technical subject matter experts to ensure all content is accurate and fully aligned with stated objectives.
Provide support to subject matter experts in generating content and graphic design, delivering high-quality, visually appealing, and effective experiences.
Contribute to the creation, review, and copy-editing of digital materials, including e-course resources.
Support the Global Lead in building a strong, visible presence on social media and other platforms, amplifying key messages and thought leadership.
30% Administrative & Logistical Support to the Global Lead for Disaster Management
Provide administrative and logistical support to the Global Lead for Disaster Management, ensuring smooth coordination of global priorities and engagements.
Manage the Global Lead’s calendar, appointments, and strategic interactions with internal and external stakeholders.
Draft, edit, and oversee meeting agendas, reports, presentations, and briefing materials to support leadership visibility and decision-making.
Monitor and follow up on action items from meetings, driving timely execution and accountability across teams.
Handle ad hoc assignments from the Global Lead, contributing to cross-functional initiatives and urgent response efforts with discretion and efficiency.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND EXPERIENCE
Required Education, training, license, registration, and/or Certification
Education: Undergraduate level degree (or equivalent) in Business Administration, Public Administration, Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, Organizational Development, International Development, or related field
Training: Demonstrated training or experience in administration support, project coordination, or humanitarian operations is highly desirable.
Digital Competency
Curiosity and adaptability toward innovations such as artificial intelligence, automation tools, and digital collaboration platforms. Ability to quickly learn and apply new digital solutions to improve efficiency, communication, and impact in a fast-paced humanitarian environment.

Required travel and/or work environment accommodations
This role may require occasional travel to attend team meetings, typically 1–2 times per year. Additionally, as a member of the Disaster Management team, the individual may be called upon to deploy to high-risk areas, including in the event of Category III global disasters, for emergency response missions lasting up to three months.
