Your role as Director Wealth Banking
As Director Wealth Banking, you will lead a team of experienced Wealth Bankers while managing a portfolio of high‑net‑worth clients (50%). You represent the Wealth Banking organization in your region, both internally and externally, and you play a pivotal role in driving commercial performance, strengthening client relationships, and contributing to long‑term strategic growth.
A day in the life of a Director Wealth Banking
- Lead, coach, and empower a team of Wealth Bankers to deliver outstanding client experiences and achieve ambitious commercial targets.
- Act as the local ambassador of ING Wealth Banking, strengthening ING’s presence with clients, partners, and internal stakeholders.
- Drive collaboration with other business lines such as Business Banking, Personal Banking, and internal distribution networks to unlock new opportunities.
- Manage your own portfolio of wealth clients, delivering tailored advice and developing long‑term, trust‑based relationships.
- Monitor market trends and client needs to identify growth opportunities and contribute to ING’s wealth strategy.
- Ensure operational excellence, compliance, and a strong risk‑awareness culture within the team.
How to succeed
You are a highly skilled relationship manager with proven experience in wealth management, combined with strong leadership capabilities. You bring energy, ambition, and a commercial mindset.
You have:
- Several years of experience as a Wealth Banker.
- Strong leadership, coaching, and communication skills.
- A results‑driven and entrepreneurial mindset.
- A solid network and the ability to build new strategic relationships.
- A positive attitude towards change and transformation.
- Fluency in Dutch and French. English is an advantage.
The team
The Wealth Banking team consists of 6 Wealth Bankers. Together, they deliver high‑quality service to ING’s wealth clients as part of a broader organization supporting approximately 30,000 families in Belgium.
