Director, US Vaccines Strategy & Operations Enablement

ROLE SUMMARY

The US Vaccines Franchise consists of a sizeable portfolio of innovative products that produce substantial public health impact by protecting millions of people every year from serious diseases such as meningitis, Covid, pneumococcal pneumonia and RSV.

The US Vaccines Strategy & Operational Enablement Team plays a critical role within the Vaccines franchise, acting as the control tower for business leaders around the organization’s aspiration, strategy and operational initiatives. The group will continuously drive insights required for strategic decision making, lead/ support key commercial and cross-functional initiatives, coordinate critical Vaccines franchise processes, and advance our People & Culture priorities

This position offers the opportunity to be part of a highly engaged, collaborative team with a demonstrated track record of preparing colleagues for positions in marketing, sales leadership, director of operations, finance, and other commercial roles.

We are looking for individuals who possess a combination of strategic & analytical thinking, project management, and US Vaccines business experience, to effectively aid in delivering on the franchise’s portfolio aspirations.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

This position will be an integral member of the Strategy & Operational Enablement Team and will support the Vaccines Leadership Team and their teams on a broad range of strategic and operational priorities. Key responsibilities can include:

  • Serve as the primary Strategy & Operational Enablement partner for the specific brand teams (ABRYSVO Adult and Mening teams), ensuring alignment of brand priorities with franchise strategy and enterprise planning expectations. Own the operating rhythm with these brand teams (planning milestones, decision points, cross-functional input integration), enabling clear accountability.

  • Support portfolio prioritization and focus, leading structured prioritization exercises to inform where the franchise invests time, resources, and attention across brands and customer-facing teams. Synthesize insights into clear performance narratives, connecting data, market signals, and strategy to highlight what matters most and where action is required.

  • Partner with cross-functional insight teams (e.g., IIS / IIS-CE and relevant CMO functions) to develop and execute a brand insights agenda that directly supports growth strategy, customer activation, and in-season performance management for ABRYSVO Adult and Mening.

  • Facilitate U.S. Vaccines Strategic, Operating, and Tactical Planning process, establishing a clear, integrated planning arc from long-term strategy through near-term execution across the portfolio. Work closely with brand teams, finance, and cross-functional partners to develop an integrated story for business leadership.

  • Lead Next Best Action (NBA) planning for the Vaccines portfolio, partnering closely with brand teams and Sales to translate strategy and insights into clear, prioritized field actions.

  • Coordinate retail channel execution to drive vaccine pull‑through, partnering with Adult Sales leadership, RAMs, and ABMs to focus the field force on highest‑value and highest‑opportunity retail locations; leverage leading and lagging performance indicators to prioritize targets and work cross‑functionally (Legal/Compliance, Retail Marketing, Training) to ensure compliant readiness and effective deployment, with engagement occurring at the regional retail leadership level rather than individual stores.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • BA/BS Degree required; MBA or advanced degree in a related field preferred

  • 8+ years of pharmaceutical, biotech, or consulting experience

  • Understands trends in healthcare and pharmaceuticals, customer and stakeholder landscapes, competitive dynamics, regulatory and access environments, delivery systems and channels

  • Demonstrated analytical capabilities and critical thinking skills

  • Demonstrated success in a fast-paced setting

  • Strong project management and coordination skills with cross-functional teams of diverse colleagues in multi-disciplinary positions

  • Documented ability to lead innovation and develop partnerships to build on business opportunities and organizational capabilities

  • Comfort with ambiguity and complex “white space” environments

  • Ability to influence without authority, setting business direction, priorities, and action plans

  • Ability to actively contribute to an environment that continuously embraces and encourages the implementation of innovative ideas and fosters a culture of collaboration and teamwork

  • Proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and data visualization/dashboarding tools (e.g., Tableau)

NON-STANDARD WORK SCHEDULE, TRAVEL OR ENVIRONMENT REQUIREMENTS

  • Travel up to 20% as needed

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $162,900.00 to $271,500.00. In addition, this position is eligible for participation in Pfizer’s Global Performance Plan with a bonus target of 20.0% of the base salary and eligibility to participate in our share based long term incentive program.
