 ROLE SUMMARY

Invasive Meningococcal Disease (IMD) is an uncommon, but serious illness that can lead to death within 24 hours. About 1 in 10 people infected with IMD will die. Up to 1 in 5 survivors will have long-term, devastating consequences, such as limb amputation, nerve and brain damage. Today, there are separate, complex vaccination recommendations for MenACWY and MenB. 70% of adolescents in the US have incomplete protection against IMD caused by serogroups ABCWY. 

The HCP Marketing Director will serve as the day-to-day asset lead for Trumenba and support overall portfolio contracting and performance. S/he will be responsible to maintain brand performance in coordination with franchise goals, by developing and leading the HCP strategy, take a lead role with organized customers including the franchise Public business, creating/refining messages and resources for the brand, and delivering return on investment with executed marketing campaigns. The role will require the ability to translate insights into action, identify business accelerators and innovative strategies to overcome market challenges and drive vaccine uptake. It’s a fast-paced, collaborative environment that requires an organized colleague with strategic and operational U.S. Marketing experience and the ability to navigate the organization and get things done.

 

  ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop HCP strategies and marketing initiatives, continuously converting insights and learnings into actionable plans that drive brand performance

  • Direct advertising agencies in development of impactful resources aligned to brand strategy and lead internal review processes to ensure high-quality and rapid execution

  • Shape and lead the development of content for US Plan of Action (POAs) meetings and other Sales Force meetings including planning, execution, and follow-up engagement

  • Support Operational and Tactical plans that drive the short- and long- term HCP strategy

  • Coordinate with Global Commercial Analytics team members to: (1) design and implement primary HCP market research to gain customer insights, and (2) use key secondary data and analytics to improve the understanding of our customers and business fundamentals and 3) develop KPI scorecard to track progress

  • Prioritize and evaluate account targeting list with contracting, account and sales leadership

  • Collaborate with Field Leadership to gain input to inform planning and enable effective execution of brand tactics including opportunities to support pull through of account conversions and drive immunization growth

  • Collaborate and align with marketing team counterparts and cross-functional team members to ensure the plans work in synergy to deliver overall revenue and profit objectives for Pfizer Vaccines

  • Collaborate with PGS and Finance to ensure supply plans are optimized based on expected demand

  • Support Mening win room, bringing in key findings from sales, accounts and contracting to inform future decision making

  • Support Mening forecast aligning with cross-functional partners and iterating based on key market events

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS 

  • BA or BS required; MBA preferred
  • 8+ years commercial/marketing experience is required including US pharma experience
  • Preference for experience with vaccines or other buy/bill business models
  • Strong familiarity with US marketing landscape including HCPs and medical groups/integrated delivery networks
  • Strong strategic skill sets including effectiveness in identifying and addressing major strategic challenges (e.g., new competition, shifting market environment) and the ability to navigate complex and rapid-changing environment
  • Adept at balancing short- and long-term priorities and manage multiple priorities effectively
  • Strong expertise at strategic and tactical thinking, with demonstrated ability to translate strategy and analysis to a tactical, executable level
  • Demonstrated innovation champion, seeks learnings from other brands and other industries to innovate and enhance launch plans
  • Preference for experience developing impactful digital strategies, campaigns and innovations built on an integrated personal and non-personal customer journey map
  • Demonstrated matrix leadership and ability to foster a culture of collaboration and teamwork
  • ·Established business acumen and pharma industry/vaccines business knowledge
  • Entrepreneurial mindset and ability to challenge status quo, make quick decisions, act with a sense of urgency and focus/prioritize efforts across the team and the organization.

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $176,600.00 to $294,300.00. In addition, this position is eligible for participation in Pfizer’s Global Performance Plan with a bonus target of 20.0% of the base salary and eligibility to participate in our share based long term incentive program.
