We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Repo Trader to join our dynamic trading team in Toronto. This front office role requires a minimum of 3 years of experience in U.S. and Canadian repo trading, with a solid understanding and possibly experience in money market trading, collateral management, and foreign exchange execution. You will be working in a fast-paced, cross-trained trading environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Confidently execute and manage repo trades in both U.S. and Canadian markets, ensuring optimal pricing and risk management.
Support the desk's VP and the Senior Portfolio Manager with trade execution and strategy development.
Monitor and analyze market trends and economic data to make informed trading decisions.
Manage collateral efficiently to optimize the use of available resources.
Collaborate with other traders and departments to ensure smooth trade execution and processing.
Maintain accurate records of trades and support documentation for compliance and reporting purposes.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 3 years of experience in U.S. and Canadian repo trading.
Strong background in finance or economics; a CFA designation is an asset.
Expertise in money markets, collateral management, and foreign exchange products.
Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to work accurately under pressure.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Bloomberg.
Self-starter with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
A background in finance or economics is preferred.
A CFA or Master's degree in either discipline is preferred.
Additional certifications or coursework in finance or related fields.

Salary range is expected to be between
