About the Role

We are seeking a Director, Strategy & Segment Planning to join our leadership team. This role works closely with senior leadership to shape and execute the organization’s strategic direction while driving growth, adoption, and customer success across key market segments. This is a high-impact, highly visible role reporting directly to the President.

This leader will serve as a strategic advisor and planning partner, responsible for delivering data-driven insights that shape enterprise and segment-level strategy. Working closely with general managers and functional leaders, the role influences priorities and resource allocation to accelerate growth and ensure strategies translate into measurable customer and market impact.

What You Will Focus On

Enterprise Strategy & Executive Decision Support

  • Partner with the President and Senior Leadership Team (SLT) to shape, prioritize, and refine enterprise strategy aligned to corporate objectives.

  • Provide structured analysis and insight on critical strategic, operational, and growth opportunities to inform executive decision-making.

  • Conduct ongoing market, customer, and competitive analysis, synthesizing insights into clear, actionable recommendations.

  • Plan, coordinate, and facilitate strategy sessions, quarterly business reviews, and executive working sessions to support alignment and accountability.

  • Monitor progress against strategic priorities, surface risks and tradeoffs, and support leadership in course correction decisions.

Segment & Go-To-Market Strategy

  • Lead segment-level strategic planning, including market sizing, growth opportunities, and go-to-market models, in partnership with general managers and functional leaders.

  • Deliver data-driven perspectives that help revenue leaders prioritize opportunities and remove barriers to growth.

  • Support cross-functional launch readiness by aligning assumptions, success metrics, and execution plans across product, sales, marketing, and customer success.

  • Develop and refine customer-centric value propositions and segmentation frameworks to support consistent market positioning.

Customer Lifecycle & Growth Insights

  • Define customer lifecycle frameworks and success metrics spanning acquisition, onboarding, adoption, retention, and renewal.

  • Analyze customer behavior, adoption patterns, and retention drivers to identify opportunities for growth and improvement.

  • Establish and scale customer feedback mechanisms, ensuring insights are synthesized and elevated to inform strategic and investment decisions.

Pricing Strategy & Value Realization

  • Lead pricing strategy development by analyzing customer value, willingness to pay, and competitive dynamics across segments.

  • Design pricing and packaging frameworks that align product value to market positioning and growth objectives.

  • Partner with product, sales, finance, and marketing leaders to provide data-driven recommendations on pricing models and monetization tradeoffs.

Cross-Functional Alignment & Organizational Impact

  • Connect insights across product, marketing, sales, finance, technology, and operations to support aligned decision-making.

  • Define and track enterprise and segment-level performance metrics (e.g., OKRs, KPIs), ensuring leadership has visibility into progress and tradeoffs.

  • Influence outcomes through collaboration, facilitation, and thought leadership rather than direct authority, building trust across senior leaders and teams.

What We Expect From You

  • Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to navigate and influence within a large, matrixed organization.

  • Proven ability to manage multiple complex initiatives with shifting priorities and ambiguity.

  • Strong executive presence, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

  • Highly analytical, detail-oriented, and comfortable operating at both strategic and tactical levels.

  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and deliver results through influence.

  • Strong customer orientation with a passion for delivering measurable business and customer outcomes.

  • Positive attitude, growth mindset, and eagerness to take on new challenges.

Qualifications

  • MBA or equivalent advanced degree preferred.

  • 10+ years of experience across strategy, go-to-market, segment management, product, or commercial leadership roles within SaaS, legal tech, or enterprise software.

  • Proven success in strategic planning, product launches, customer adoption and retention programs, and revenue growth initiatives.

  • Strong background in market and competitive intelligence, sales enablement, and lifecycle management.

  • Experience working closely with senior executives and leading initiatives at enterprise scale.

  • Excellent presentation, communication, and analytical skills.

Location & Travel
