This role is accountable for shaping, managing, and continuously improving procurement services at Element. “Procurement services” are an internal product delivered by the Strategic Alliances function, to the rest of Element. This role will “own” the internal product globally, ensuring that sourcing and supplier relations are consistently delivered effectively and meet business needs. 

A key enabler of this role’s success will be Element’s “SSRM (Sourcing & Supplier Relations Management) platform. SSRM is currently being implemented, and this role plays an important part on the implementation team. This role does not “own” the SSRM platform alone, but rather the global procurement services enabled and enhanced globally by SSRM 

This role is focused on the internal service model, quality, stakeholder experience, and value realization associated with Strategic Alliances’ function within Element. 

Procurement Services Ownership & Improvement: Define, evolve, and continuously improve procurement services as an internal product globally. Monitor performance, collect feedback, and drive enhancements that improve delivery: speed, quality, and stakeholder satisfaction. 

Stakeholder Engagement & Change Leadership: Partner with business leaders across all functions to ensure procurement services meet evolving needs. Influence and build trust with senior stakeholders by demonstrating value and responsiveness. Champion process compliance and service adoption globally. 

SSRM Implementation & Enablement: Drive successful adoption of the SSRM platform as the backbone for delivering procurement services. Ensure system use aligns with best practices, compliance standards, and business value realization. Partner with technology owners to prioritize enhancements and integrations. 

Reporting & Analytics: Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and service level agreements (SLAs) for Strategic Alliances departments globally and provide regular reports on performance and achievements to senior management. 

The purpose of this role is to ensure that Element derives maximum value from procurement services through: 

  • A clear, well-defined service model (managed as a product); 

  • Successful adoption and enablement of the SSRM platform; and 

  • Continuous improvement in service quality, compliance, and stakeholder experience. 

Position Requirements 

Education and Experience 

  • Bachelor's degree required (Business, Supply Chain, Finance, or related field). 

  • 10+ years of experience in procurement/service management, with service-design mindset. 

  • Exceptional communication, leadership, and collaboration skills: inspires confidence, trust, and – in turn  encourages accountability, partnership and transparency across all levels of the organization. 

  • Experience implementing enterprise systems and driving adoption. 

  • Strong background in stakeholder engagement, change management, and continuous improvement. 

Knowledge and Competencies 

  • Expertise in sourcing, supplier relationship management, and procurement operations 

  • Experience engaging/managing/consulting multiple key stakeholders with demonstrated hands-on delivery approach. 

  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills, networking skills, positive attitude and interpersonal skills. 

  • Comfortable with ambiguity and adept at driving measurable outcomes. 

  • Highly self-motivated and self-directed, with keen attention to detail.
