Position Summary

Key Responsibilities:

Engineering Strategy & Leadership

  • Define and implement the India Engineering Strategy aligned with SG’s global lottery technology roadmap and product vision.
  • Partner with global product, architecture, and technology leaders to shape the future of SG’s lottery platforms and digital services.
  • Build an agile, scalable, and innovation-driven engineering operating model that accelerates product development and global delivery.
  • Translate enterprise goals into actionable engineering priorities with measurable outcomes.

2. Engineering Delivery Excellence

  • Lead end-to-end engineering delivery management across multiple global product lines, ensuring consistent, high-quality delivery within defined timelines and budgets.
  • Establish robust delivery governance, program management frameworks, and standardized execution models across teams.
  • Oversee project planning, sprint performance, resource optimization, and risk management to ensure seamless delivery across regions.
  • Partner with product owners and architects to align engineering delivery with evolving customer, business, and regulatory needs.

3. Transformation & Modernization

  • Drive technology transformation initiatives including platform modernization, DevSecOps maturity, CI/CD automation, cloud adoption, and API-driven architecture.
  • Lead process optimization and engineering excellence programs to improve development velocity, code quality, and reliability.
  • Embed data-driven delivery metrics and performance analytics for visibility, predictability, and continuous improvement.
  • Introduce emerging technologies (e.g., AI, analytics, automation) to strengthen SG’s global product innovation capabilities.

4. Capability Building & Culture

  • Build a high-performing engineering organization by attracting, developing, and retaining top-tier technical talent.
  • Foster a culture of innovation, ownership, and collaboration that reflects SG’s global values and encourages cross-functional synergy.
  • Mentor senior engineering leaders to strengthen technical and leadership depth across domains.
  • Champion diversity, inclusion, and employee engagement across all levels of the engineering organization.

5. Governance, Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Act as the strategic interface between India Engineering, global technology, and product leadership teams.
  • Provide regular executive updates on strategy, delivery progress, key risks, and transformation milestones.
  • Manage strategic vendor partnerships to augment capability, capacity, and delivery performance.
  • Ensure strong alignment between engineering priorities in India and global business outcomes.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • 18+ years of progressive experience in software engineering, technology delivery, or product development, with 5+ years in a senior leadership role overseeing large-scale, distributed teams.
  • Proven success leading engineering delivery and transformation programs for complex, global products or platforms.
  • Deep understanding of modern software development practices — Agile, DevSecOps, cloud-native architectures, platform engineering, and automation.
  • Strong program governance, delivery assurance, and stakeholder management experience across multi-country environments.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to balance vision and execution in a high-growth, fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent leadership presence, communication, and influencing skills with exposure to global technology organizations.

Qualifications

Education

B.Tech/Master's in engineering, Computer Science, or related field (MBA preferred).
