Job Description Summary:

At The Coca-Cola Company, we are proud to be one of the world’s most recognized and respected brands, with a legacy spanning over 139 years and a portfolio of more than 200 brands enjoyed by millions globally. Our mission is simple yet powerful: refresh the world and make a difference.

We are seeking a Director, Scientific & Regulatory Affairs (SRA) Brazil to provide scientific and regulatory leadership across one of our most strategically important markets. This role is pivotal in protecting and expanding the Company’s freedom to operate by ensuring portfolio compliance, enabling innovation, and actively shaping the external regulatory environment through science‑based advocacy. The ideal candidate will bring deep scientific expertise, strong regulatory judgment, and the ability to influence policy and business decisions through credibility and collaboration.
If you are passionate about science‑led advocacy, regulatory leadership, and enabling responsible growth, we want you on our team.

What You’ll Do for Us

  • Lead the execution of the Scientific & Regulatory Affairs agenda for Brazil, aligning scientific, regulatory, and advocacy activities with business priorities and regional and global SRA direction.
  • Engage in science‑based regulatory advocacy, contributing technical expertise and evidence to help shape policies, standards, and guidance that impact the Company’s portfolio and future innovation.
  • Serve as the scientific and regulatory authority for claims and marketing communications evaluation and approval, ensuring compliance, credibility, and appropriate substantiation.
  • Ensure compliance continuity across the full portfolio after product launch.
  • Partner closely with Marketing, R&D, Legal, Public Affairs, and Franchise teams to anticipate regulatory risks and enable compliant, timely business decisions.
  • Monitor and assess emerging scientific, regulatory, and public policy trends, translating complexity into clear implications and recommendations for senior leaders.
  • Support the market on IMCRs (Incident Management and Crisis Response), providing scientific and regulatory expertise to enable effective, timely, and compliant responses.
  • Represent the Company with regulators, industry associations, and scientific forums as appropriate, building credibility and constructive dialogue.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Advanced degree in Food Science, Nutrition, Toxicology, Chemistry, Biology, Public Health, or a related scientific discipline.
  • 10+ years of experience in scientific and/or regulatory affairs within food, beverage, consumer goods, pharmaceutical, or similarly regulated industries.
  • Strong knowledge of Brazilian regulatory frameworks, with demonstrated experience engaging with ANVISA and other relevant authorities.
  • Proven expertise in regulatory advocacy, claims substantiation, labeling, marketing communications review, and product compliance across the product life cycle.
  • Ability to influence cross‑functional and external stakeholders in a matrixed organization without direct people management responsibility.
  • Strong judgment, analytical thinking, and comfort operating in complex, evolving regulatory environments.
  • Experience working in emerging markets and within global organizations strongly preferred.
  • Fluent in Portuguese and English; Spanish proficiency is a plus.

What We'll do for You

  • Global Exposure: Collaborate with regional and global SRA leaders, contributing Brazilian perspectives to enterprise‑level scientific and regulatory strategies.
  • Iconic Brands: Support some of the world’s most trusted and loved brands within a system grounded in science, integrity, and responsibility.
  • Learning & Development: Access continuous scientific learning, regulatory forums, and professional development opportunities.
