Adprime - Director, Sales Strategy and Client Services
Adprime by Newsweek is the largest digital Healthcare publishing platform and programmatic provider that offers solutions for reaching healthcare professionals (HCP) and direct-to-consumer (DTC) brands.
Position Summary
Adprime by Newsweek is seeking a Director for our Sales Strategy & Client Services department. This position will play a critical role in driving client satisfaction, retention, and expansion across our clients. The ideal candidate excels at relationship management combined with operational rigor and a strong track record of building high-performing teams. They will act as a versatile strategic resource, supporting display advertising and identifying opportunities in emerging AI-driven advertising solutions. They will be the engine behind our sales efforts, crafting the "case for Adprime" for healthcare and pharma clients.
Key Responsibilities
Team Development & Management
- Talent Development: Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing team of Account Managers. Identify opportunities to enhance employee performance, leadership capability, and organizational effectiveness.
- Talent Management: Develop scalable processes, playbooks, and onboarding programs. Foster a culture of accountability, proactive engagement, and continuous improvement.
Digital Pre-Sale Strategy
- Pre-Sale Collateral: Lead the development of sales marketing decks, pitches, and custom proposals.
- Omnichannel Planning: Provide strategic planning and marketing support for display, mobile, and video ad sales to ensure holistic client solutions.
- Research & Case Studies: Conduct deep-dive industry research and mine historical data to build compelling success stories and "proof of concept" case studies.
- AI & Innovation: Stay at the forefront of AI advertising trends, helping the sales team translate these opportunities into actionable client offerings.
- Complex Forecasting: Utilize DMPs and internal tools to forecast inventory, calculate reach/frequency, GRPs, and evaluate ROI for prospective clients.
- Product Development: Gather and synthesize client feedback to inform product enhancements and service improvements.
Unified Client Success & Account Management
- Relationship Management: Own and foster relationships with key accounts and strategic clients.
- Campaign Lifecycle Management: Oversee the full lifecycle of digital media campaigns, including display, OTT, pre-roll video, and custom sponsorships.
- Technical Onboarding: Lead the launch process for complex campaigns, ensuring trafficking accuracy across all inventory partners.
- Strategic Optimization: Proactively manage accounts by monitoring daily delivery metrics and performance data to provide optimization recommendations.
- High-Level Reporting: Prepare robust weekly/monthly wrap-up reports and Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) focusing on KPIs and future strategic guidance.
- Revenue Growth: Assist Sales with upselling new or existing products and securing incremental budgets and renewals.
- Cross-Functional Liaison: Act as the primary liaison between internal teams (Ad Ops, Publisher Development) and clients to solve problems and troubleshoot technical issues.
Desired Skills & Experience
- Client Services Mastery: Minimum 8+ years of experience in a client-facing role
- Digital Breadth: Solid understanding of programmatic advertising, display, and video ad delivery.
- Measurement Expertise: Hands-on experience with digital reporting tools, measurement studies, brand lift studies.
- Analytical Prowess: Strong ability to analyze data and clearly communicate findings, specifically.
- Sales Marketing Mindset: Proven ability to build compelling PowerPoint decks and Excel-based media plans under tight RFP deadlines.
- Adaptability: A "forward-thinking" mindset with a desire to learn and implement AI-driven advertising tools.
- Education: BA/BS required.
Salary range: Up to $145,000 commensurate with experience
