Director, Sales Engineering – India
Mumbai/Thane, or Delhi
Role Overview
Forcepoint is seeking an accomplished Director of Sales Engineering to lead the strategic vision,
growth, and development of our Sales Engineering organization in India. This senior leadership role
is pivotal to advancing Forcepoint’s data-first cybersecurity mission and driving market penetration
of cutting-edge solutions such as AI-powered data protection, Data Loss Prevention (DLP), and
Data Security Posture Management (DSPM).
As a regional executive, you will serve as a thought leader and cultural architect—responsible not
only for sales engineering outcomes but also for developing high-performing, empowered teams
and a collaborative, inclusive culture. This is a highly visible role interfacing with enterprise and
government customers, senior sales leaders, global product teams, and executive stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead with Vision: Define and execute the strategic direction for the India Sales Engineering
organization aligned to Forcepoint’s global business goals.
• Inspire and Develop Talent: Build, scale, and mentor a high-impact team of sales engineers
and technical leaders; foster a culture of learning, accountability, and excellence.
• Drive Business Outcomes: Partner with India Sales leadership to shape territory growth plans,
align technical resources to revenue priorities, and influence key wins through executive
engagement.
• Elevate Customer Experience: Act as the senior technical authority in strategic engagements,
ensuring Forcepoint’s solutions are positioned to solve real business problems at scale.
• Champion Culture and Inclusion: Build a cohesive and inclusive team environment, ensuring
diversity of thought and equitable opportunities for growth and recognition.
• Innovate with Purpose: Guide the regional rollout and adoption of next-generation offerings
such as AI-driven data discovery and DSPM; serve as the bridge between customer needs and
product strategy.
• Operational Excellence: Oversee regional execution of technical programs including PoCs,
RFPs, workshops, and enablement activities with a focus on consistent quality and customer
impact.
• Executive Stakeholder Management: Represent India in global forums, contributing to
Forcepoint’s evolving go-to-market and solution strategy while championing the voice of the
region.
Leadership Qualities
• Strategic Thinker: Able to translate market trends and customer challenges into actionable
initiatives that deliver business value.
• People Leader: Proven ability to recruit, retain, and grow diverse talent while building a strong,
values-driven culture.
• Collaborative Influencer: Experienced in cross-functional leadership within matrixed
organizations and capable of aligning diverse teams toward common objectives.
• Change Agent: Embraces innovation and continuous improvement, with the ability to lead
teams through transformation and growth.
Qualifications
• Overall, at least 20+ experience, with 10+ years of progressive experience in cybersecurity will
be valuable, with at least 8 years in a pre-sales leadership or technical leadership capacity.
• Deep understanding of data security architectures across cloud and hybrid environments,
including:
- DLP and data classification
- AI/ML in security
- Network security (NGFW, SWG, proxies)
- DSPM solutions
• Demonstrated success in scaling high-performing technical teams and delivering results
through others.
• Excellent executive presence, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong cultural intelligence and the ability to lead within diverse, multicultural teams.
• Based in India with willingness to travel as required across the region.
