The Director of One-on-One Advising, Innovation & Advising role is pivotal in ensuring that Kaplan remains at the forefront of educational advising by delivering exceptional 1:1 advising product experiences. The Director of One-on-One Advising is instrumental in driving revenue growth, enhancing product offerings, and expanding our market reach through strategic partnerships and innovative marketing initiatives.

Primary/Key Responsibilities

  • Revenue Growth: Drive revenue growth for 1:1 advising products through effective strategy development, execution, and performance monitoring.
  • Product Ownership: Serve as the product owner for all 1:1 advising products, ensuring that each product experience is best-in-class and meets the evolving needs of our students.
  • Marketing and Awareness: Be the face of Kaplan’s 1:1 Advising efforts: lead webinars, consultations, and other marketing events to drive awareness and engagement with our 1:1 advising products. Utilize innovative marketing strategies to enhance product visibility and attract new users.
  • Digital Tool Enhancement: Contribute expertise to our digital advising tool, enhancing its functionality and leveraging it to drive awareness and cross-promotion of other Kaplan products.
  • Strategic Partnerships: Establish and nurture partnerships with large organizations to increase student awareness of Kaplan's advising offerings, expanding our reach and impact.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelors in Business, Education, Marketing and/or related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a leadership role within the education, advising, or related sector.
  • Managerial experience working in a college admissions office
  • Demonstrable ability and proven track record in strategy-building 
  • Working knowledge of data analysis and performance metrics
  • Excellent organizational and leadership skills
  • Excellent communication skills; ability to influence and motivate others.
  • Strong, entrepreneurial leadership skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s Degree
  • Understanding of K12 and College Admissions markets

For full-time positions, Kaplan has three Salary Grades. This position is Salary Grade B: $64,819 to $162,047. The specific compensation offered will be determined by a variety of factors, including but not limited to the candidate's qualifications, relevant experience, education, skills, and market data.
