POSITION SUMMARY
Reporting to the Field Medical Outcomes Team Lead as a field-based medical colleague, you will be responsible for providing therapeutic area and product expertise for the Pfizer Oncology portfolio with a primary focus on integrated customers such as health systems, integrated provider networks and large community practices. You will educate customers on the clinical and economic impact of Pfizer Oncology medicines and products. You will help inform customer decision-making and improve population health through real-world data analyses, pharmacoeconomic analyses, outcomes evaluations, and medical presentations. The Oncology Medical Outcomes role primarily interacts with healthcare decision makers who are responsible for population-level decision making.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
Serve as the Oncology Medical lead for assigned customers (Northeast U.S.), providing objective, scientifically sound medical and outcomes-based information on Pfizer Oncology products.
Developing and delivering real‑world evidence, pharmacoeconomic insights, and HIT‑enabled initiatives to improve patient care, close quality gaps, and support population health.
Lead customer-specific medical strategies and collaborations, engages key external stakeholders, supports formulary and decision-making needs, and works cross‑functionally within Pfizer to align outcomes research, insights, and medical initiatives in a complex and evolving market.
Lead high‑impact outcomes initiatives that close quality gaps, advance population health, and support formulary and care‑delivery decision‑making.
Translates customer insights into enterprise value through cross‑functional collaboration with HEOR, Field Medical, and commercial partners.
Maintains deep market and customer intelligence within a complex, evolving healthcare landscape.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS
PharmD /PhD / Terminal degree with 7+ years of experience OR
Masters degree with 8+ years of experience
Experience in any of the following:
Clinical, formulary, and/or other health-system management experience
Managed Care, pharmaceutical industry, health-system operations, and/or Quality Improvement
Data Analytics and/or HEOR activities, with demonstrated strong methodological skills (study design, data analysis, and interpretation)
Significant experience in interacting with healthcare decision makers and population health providers
Experience communicating large amounts of scientific information in a manner that is clear and concise
Understands the principles of study design, methodology, data analysis, and interpretation and communicate these concepts with customers
Experience influencing and collaborating with peers to create business impact
Strong situational leadership skills
Able to travel, including overnight travel for internal and external meetings (customer, industry, and professional society meetings); Able to potentially travel 40 – 50% of time; Must be located within a 2-hour drive of a major airport
Able to operate a Pfizer company car with a valid US Driver’s License and regularly fly on airplanes
