POSITION SUMMARY

The Director of Ticketing is responsible for all aspects of Steamboat Resort’s onsite ticketing sales and service. Reporting directly to the Vice President of Business Development, the position leads a team of flex and seasonal staff, including a large group of part-time personnel within the ski season to create a seamless ticketing experience for all guests. Working with a wide range of internal colleagues and external partners, Ticketing Department provides exceptional guest experience with friendly, efficient and accurate information while selling Steamboat Ski & Resort Corp. (SSRC) and Alterra Mountain Company products including lift access, season passes, and ancillary products. Use of computer hardware and enterprise software systems is used for reporting, scheduling, protecting customer data, and sales.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

  • Continually enhance ticketing systems and processes that create frictionless ticketing for guests, effective workflows for all team members and clear communication to stakeholders.
  • Lead the ticketing team of full-time and part-time staff. Maintain and continuously improve a culture of Service Excellence. Participate in hiring, onboarding and performance management. 
  • Implement sales strategies to meet or exceed revenue targets
  • Oversight of presold services including group and 3rd party lift fulfillment
  • Support ongoing database health through accurate data capture
  • Reporting, auditing and ongoing process improvements to support overall resort business
  • Other duties as assigned

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • At least five (5) years of management experience
  • Demonstrated experience managing advanced functions of enterprise level professional ticketing such as RTP, ideally within ski industry
  • Have demonstrated competencies in: Accuracy and Attention to Detail, Effective Communication (written and spoken), Initiative, Interpersonal Relationships, and Problem Solving.
  • Evening, weekend, and holiday work, including “on-call” times, are a part of resort operations 

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor's degree in related area and/or equivalent experience required

The base salary range below represents the low and high end of the Steamboat Ski and Resort Corporation salary range for this position. Actual salaries will vary and may be above or below the range based on a range of factors including but not limited to experience, education, training, location, merit system, quantity or quality of production, responsibilities, and regular and/or necessary travel. The range listed is just one component of Steamboat Ski and Resort Corporation total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include short-term and long-term incentives.

Steamboat area base salary range: $76,000 - $93,000 per year

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Repetitive use of a keyboard at a workstation. Prolonged screen time.
  • Regular and punctual attendance at workplace with flexibility for early morning, evening and weekend work related to performances and events.
  • Use of manual dexterity.
  • Pushing, pulling, lifting, and moving up to 20 lbs.
