The Position:

 

At OPSWAT, we’re building cutting-edge solutions that protect the world’s critical infrastructure. As our Director of Software Engineering, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our OESIS SDK platform. You will build and mentor strong Scrum teams, drive QA automation, integrate AI into new initiatives, and partner closely with Product Management to deliver high quality, secure, scalable, and impactful software solutions.

What You Will Be Doing

 

  • Lead with Vision: Guide and grow multiple engineering teams, ensure alignment with product goals, adhere to Scrum processes, and achieve technical excellence (50%)
  • Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Partner with Product Management to shape roadmaps and deliver new features that matter (10%)
  • Drive Engineering Excellence: Review PRDs, improve processes, and champion best practices across the SDLC (20%)
  • Innovate Boldly: Steer the technology direction to keep us ahead of the curve in the security, automation, and AI space (10%)
  • Develop Talent: Mentor, coach, and create career growth opportunities for your team (10%)

What We Need From You

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field.
  • A minimum of 6 years of enterprise software development using C++, C#, and Python programming languages.
  • Three or more years of proven experience leading multiple engineering teams through the full software development lifecycle.
  • Fluent in English and Vietnamese with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Proven track record of implementing Scrum/Agile engineering best practices and driving continuous improvement.
  • Strong background in building software products/services in the cybersecurity domain.
  • Positive attitude and passion for technology, innovation, and building secure, scalable systems.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.

 

It Would Be Nice If You Had

 

  • Experience with identity access solutions, patch management, or endpoint protection.
  • Hands-on experience with cloud-native services or enterprise-grade applications.
  • Familiarity with secure coding practices and SDLC frameworks.
  • Detailed knowledge of operating systems (Windows, macOS, Linux) and device management.
