ROLE SUMMARY

The Director of National Key Accounts is a senior, customer-facing leader responsible for building strategic partnerships and delivering solutions that create sustained competitive advantage with I&I’s most influential national accounts. This role demands a deep understanding of the U.S. healthcare system, integrated delivery networks (IDNs), and payer dynamics.
Leveraging comprehensive knowledge of the I&I portfolio and market trends, the Director will design and execute strategic engagement plans that align with customer priorities and Pfizer’s business objectives. Acting as a matrix leader, this individual will coordinate cross-functional stakeholders—including senior leadership, Health IT, Medical, Marketing, and Customer Effectiveness teams—to drive enterprise-level initiatives and deliver on revenue goals.
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
Strategic Account Leadership: Directly engage prioritized national accounts to develop long-term, mutually beneficial relationships that advance Pfizer’s strategic objectives and deliver on revenue goals. Colleague accountable for expanding Pfizer’s breadth and depth of influence within each assigned account to build strategic relationships and drive performance and advance projects through customer valued solutions. Colleague accountable for critical decision making with each customer that will significantly impact Pfizer’s relationship with each customer.
Enterprise Influence: Serve as a subject matter expert on customer engagement, resource optimization, and U.S. market trends to enhance Pfizer’s relevance and inform enterprise strategy.
Insight Generation: Capture and communicate actionable customer insights to influence strategic brand planning, resource allocation, and cross-functional decision-making. Primary Point of Contact (POC) for all customer engagements and projects where a specific brand or TA opportunity is identified
Integrated Planning: Lead a cross functional integrated team representing Key National Accounts which will include Commercial Effectiveness, MG/IDN marketing, Medical, HIT, Brand Marketing (when applicable), PCA (when applicable) and Legal to create a strategic plan for each assigned national account. Colleague accountable for the development and execution of the strategic plan for each assigned account.
Innovation & Execution: Design scalable solutions and engagement platforms that address customer needs while driving operational excellence and measurable outcomes.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education: Bachelor’s degree required; MBA/MPH preferred.
Work Experience:
Minimum of 8+ years of pharmaceutical or biotech experience with a strong understanding of the U.S. healthcare system and IDN/key account dynamics.
5–10 years of account management experience preferred.
Key Account Management (KAM) experience required.
Valid US driver’s license and driving record in compliance with company standards. Any DUI/DWI or other impaired driving citation within the past 7 years will disqualify you from being hired.

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $182,000.00 to $303,300.00. In addition, this position is eligible for participation in Pfizer’s Global Performance Plan with a bonus target of 22.5% of the base salary and eligibility to participate in our share based long term incentive program.
