Essential Functions
Organize, improve and manage the division human resources function. Execute Human Resources priorities and initiatives that align with and are in support the delivery of business strategy. Support department managers in carrying out their responsibilities on personnel matters. Advise and assist in resolution of work place issues and matters of employee performance. Ensure compliance with federal, state and local labor laws and industry regulations. Initiate, cultivate and maintain professional relationships with all levels of management, external resources and other organization HR professionals. Demonstrate a continuous improvement approach toward establishing best practices in the HR function. Collaborate with Human Resources team to administer company benefits program including enrollment and changes, COBRA notifications, and cafeteria plan administration.
Job Knowledge & Skills
Proven successful tenure/experience in managing a variety of aspects relating to the HR function, including effective communication with employees/management. Ability to easily engage with department managers to train and communicate key HR policies and procedures. Experience in structuring benefits programs to attract and retain top talent. Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills and excellent follow-through skills Computer skills – Microsoft Office, ADP processing products Business Acumen. Strategic Vision. Relationship Management & Communication, including to employee groups, management, or the local community. Consultation. Team Building. Critical Evaluation and Problem Solving. Leadership & Navigation. Sound judgment, positive attitude and high level of organizational skills.
Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree required. 3 to 5 years of experience in manufacturing industry preferred.
Work Environment
Generally 8 hour days, 5 days a week, indoors in a controlled environment. Occasional overtime required when necessary.
