Reporting to the Hotel Manager, the Director of Food & Beverage forms part of the Hotel Leadership team, who collectively make key strategic and operational decisions for the Hotel. The Director manages the Food & Beverage Division, which includes overseeing the operations of restaurants, bars, banqueting, in-room dining, and kitchens. The primary responsibilities for this position are to ensure our guests receive the highest level of food quality and service, manage and develop a high-performing and motivated team, devise and monitor an annual budget, manage labor control and operating expenses, and create relationships with key suppliers and industry associates.
We are looking for individuals who have a solid knowledge of food & beverage, have creativity and flair, and display evidence of astute business acumen, a strong work ethic, and people-management skills.
What you will do:
• Select, train, evaluate, lead, motivate, and coach employees and managers in multiple Food & Beverage operations to ensure that established cultural and company core standards are met.
• Ensure compliance with all legal requirements and HACCP standards.
• Control labor and operating expenses through effective scheduling, budgeting, purchasing decisions, and inventory control while focusing on creative revenue generation solutions to maximize profit.
• Maintain visibility in the operation, recognize and maintain relationships with regular guests, as well as cultivate relationships with new patrons.
• Communicate with employees and managers to ensure operational needs are met, as well as attend regular operational meetings for effective coordination and cooperation between departments.
• Collaborate with other hotel departments, such as sales and marketing, to develop and implement promotional campaigns and events.
