What You’ll Do:
Nexxen is seeking a Director of Engineering, Information Systems to own the strategy, delivery, and lifecycle of our business systems, integrations, and analytics enablement. This role focuses on enterprise applications and data flows that underpin Finance, HR, Sales/RevOps, and Operations. You will define the roadmap, lead high-performing, globally distributed teams, and partner with business leaders to deliver secure, scalable, and user-centric solutions.
This role leads enterprise-level business applications (Finance, HRIS, CRM/RevOps, Collaboration, Knowledge/Task Management), internal tools, integration platforms, and data engineering enablement for analytics and reporting. The director establishes SDLC and architecture guardrails, ensures platform reliability for applications and integrations, governs vendors and platforms, and drives effective change management. The role collaborates closely with Security on security-by-design, SoD, privacy, and audits; with Data on MDM, governed datasets, and BI; and with IT for SSO/MFA policies and prerequisite infrastructure.
Strategy and leadership:
- Define a multi-year Information Systems product and platform strategy aligned to Nexxen’s business outcomes and process modernization.
- Translate business goals into an executable roadmap across applications, integrations, and data capabilities; establish portfolio governance and quarterly planning.
- Set engineering standards for SDLC, architecture guardrails, testing, release, and quality.
Product, delivery, and value realization:
- Lead product discovery and delivery for Finance, HRIS, CRM/RevOps, and cross-functional platforms; prioritize roadmaps with Finance, HR, Sales Ops, and Operations.
- Drive build/buy/partner decisions; lead vendor evaluations, negotiations, licensing optimization, and success management.
- Establish SLOs for applications and integrations; measure adoption, process cycle-time reduction, and automation coverage.
Architecture and integrations:
- Own the target state architecture for enterprise applications and integration patterns (APIs, iPaaS, event-driven).
- Standardize data contracts and reference data; partner with Data on MDM, lineage, and governed, analytics-ready datasets.
- Define app-level RBAC and role design; coordinate with Security/IT for SSO/MFA enablement and access reviews.
Security, risk, and compliance for business systems
- Embed security- and privacy-by-design, SoD, and change controls in platforms such as Finance, HRIS, and CRM.
- Support control design and audit readiness (e.g., SOX for financial processes, GDPR where applicable); drive timely remediation for findings within the application domain.
- Coordinate incident response for application-layer issues with Security/IT as needed.
People leadership
- Build and lead a diverse, globally distributed team of application engineers, integration engineers, admins, engineering managers, and program managers.
- Foster a culture of ownership, measurable impact, and continuous improvement; mentor leaders to scale multi-squad delivery across time zones.
- Strengthen cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder engagement across Finance, HR, Sales, Operations, Legal/Compliance, Security, and Data.
What You’ll Bring:
- 10+ years in Information Systems/Enterprise Applications with 5+ years leading managers and multi-squad portfolios.
- Salesforce (CRM/RevOps) — architecture, customization, integrations, governance, and adoption.
- NetSuite (Finance) — financial process enablement, role design/SoD, integrations, and controls supporting audit readiness.
- Zip (Purchase Workflow/Intake-to-Procure) — process design, approvals, supplier onboarding, and integration into ERP, SSO, and security policies.
- Strong application architecture across SaaS platforms, APIs/iPaaS, event-driven integrations, data flows, and app-level security/SoD.
- Proven delivery of large-scale transformations (platform rollouts, process re-engineering, post-system unification).
- Portfolio management, agile delivery at scale, and vendor/platform governance with meaningful budget accountability.
- Exceptional communication, executive presence, and cross-functional influence.
- Demonstrated success leading globally distributed teams, including setting follow-the-sun practices and optimizing collaboration across regions.
Soft skills:
