Director Enterprise Architecture Engineering
Directs the strategies, initiatives, policies and programs for global infrastructure development, processes and teams support and management. Manages activities through senior managers and managers and implements corporate and divisional strategic plans and budgets.
WHAT IS THE OPPORTUNITY?
Lead a hands-on engineering team that drives enterprise-wide application modernization through AI-driven insights and tooling. You'll build and support modernized Enterprise Architecture capabilities that enable lines of business to navigate complex transformations, rationalize their application portfolios, and align technology investments with business objectives. This is a unique opportunity to shape how the enterprise modernizes its technology landscape and accelerates business value delivery.
WHAT WILL YOU DO?
- Manage and mentor a team of engineers and developers building and supporting modernized Enterprise Architecture tooling that scales across the organization
- Partner with cross-functional teams to identify integration opportunities for the enrichment of enterprise data
- Collaborate with Product Management to prioritize, roadmap, and deliver features and bug fixes that serve customers across the enterprise
- Drive the Modernization Factory initiative by building AI-driven tooling that exposes enterprise architecture data to agentic systems for deep insights and modernization guidance
- Establish integrations between enterprise systems of record and architecture tooling to enable data-driven modernization decisions
- Support the lines of businesses by providing tooling and automation that enables application modernization engagements through discovery, planning, foundation uplift, and architecture transformation phases
- Build and develop tooling to automate solution architecture and recommend patterns and technology to drive delivery and modernization
WHAT DO YOU NEED TO SUCCEED?
Must have:
- 10+ years of software engineering experience with 5+ years in leadership or senior technical roles managing engineering teams
- Deep expertise in software architecture, systems design, application development, and technology transformation
- Strong understanding of modern AI agents and tooling and agent development frameworks.
- Strong background in designing software systems and data integration platforms
- Demonstrated experience with enterprise data systems, integration patterns, and API-driven architectures
- Proven ability to translate complex business requirements into technical solutions and lead cross-functional initiatives
Nice-to-have:
- Experience with Kubernetes, container security, or platform engineering
- Background in financial services or highly regulated industries
- Contributions to open-source projects or thought leadership in architecture automation
