Director of Deposit Product Management & Strategy

Pay Range: $117,746.00 - $156,995.00

Responsible for leading the development, management and strategic growth of deposit products and services on innovation, pricing, and growth objectives. Develops and implements competitive pricing strategies for products and services including interest rates and placement. Directs, plans, coordinates, and conducts activities related to the analysis of the bank’s market areas, customer base and the maintenance and development of its deposit product mix. Oversees the revenue of non-interest income strategies and performs research to support multiple lines of business and strategic initiatives.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, marketing or related field, or equivalent education and experience.
  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience in strategic research and analysis, product development - including pricing and marketing, market intelligence and analytics, including experience in database management.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Proven track record of being a strategic thinker with the ability to formulate compelling vision and strategy and translate that to actionable roadmaps and results
  • In-depth knowledge of bank core systems, including functionality, integrations, and operations workflows.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to influence others

Unique Job Characteristics and Requirements:

  • Travel less than 50%
  • Driver's License required
  • Reliable transportation required
  • Certified Financial Marketing Professional (CFMP) from the Institute of Certified Bankers (ICB) strongly preferred.

Tasks Performed:

  • 35% Lead the management of strategic initiatives across multiple lines of business as a trusted advisor based on analysis of existing processes and competitive research. Monitor and evaluate the current product suite profitability, client satisfaction and delivery of product documentation. Collaborates with key stakeholders to drive cross business/group coordination and logistical support for deposit growth and implementation of initiatives.
  • 30% Manages and recommends competitive pricing strategies for products, services, and interest rates to increase sales and profits.  Includes development of new and innovative products and services strategies for multiple business lines across the bank.
  • 20% Oversee the revenue of non-interest income strategies related to product sales and services and performs research to support multiple lines of business and strategic initiatives.
  • 10% Train, mentor, develop and oversee assigned staff.
  • 5% Other duties as assigned.
