Overview

The Director of Global Service Delivery Platform Engineering and Operations will lead the operational strategy and execution for the InterSystems Global Service Delivery Platform based on Kubernetes—powering the delivery of the IRIS data platform and broader portfolio as cloud-native managed services.
This role is accountable for leading global teams building and operating a highly available, secure, and performant global platform providing SaaS and Managed Services spanning InterSystems Global Datacenter footprints, AWS, GCP, and Azure. The platform underpins all customer-facing environments and is central to InterSystems’ next-generation managed services and SaaS delivery strategy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead global operations for the InterSystems Service Delivery Platform, encompassing SpectroCloud, Coralogix, Cilium, Kubernetes, Helm-based deployment automation, and multi-cloud infrastructure services.
  • Ensure operational excellence for all managed IRIS environments, including high availability, fault tolerance, and performance optimization across public and private cloud regions.
  • Develop and execute a unified operational model integrating observability, automation, capacity management, and proactive incident response for customer and internal platforms.
  • Collaborate with Product and Cloud Engineering to define infrastructure-as-code standards, CI/CD pipelines, and operational guardrails for IRIS deployment and lifecycle management.
  • Drive the evolution of platform observability using Coralogix and complementary telemetry systems to enable full-stack visibility, SLO tracking, and automated anomaly detection.
  • Establish and maintain service-level objectives (SLOs), operational KPIs, and reporting for platform health, resilience, and customer experience.
  • Partner with the Global Security and Compliance teams to ensure adherence to data protection, access control, and regulatory frameworks.
  • Lead a distributed global operations organization with a culture of accountability, continuous learning, and operational maturity.
  • Manage cross-cloud cost efficiency, scaling strategies, and automation frameworks that support InterSystems’ global growth and customer reliability expectations.
  • Champion the adoption of SRE principles and operational excellence across Managed Services, ensuring smooth integration between development and operational teams.

Qualifications

  • 15+ years of experience in infrastructure, site reliability, or platform operations, including leadership roles managing global distributed systems.
  • Proven expertise operating Kubernetes-based platforms (Cilium, Helm, SpectroCloud) and managing complex workloads across AWS, GCP, and Azure.
  • Experience with observability and logging ecosystems, particularly Coralogix or equivalent solutions (e.g., Datadog, Grafana, Prometheus).
  • Strong understanding of data platform operations, high availability, and scaling in support of mission-critical systems such as InterSystems IRIS.
  • Demonstrated success driving operational transformation in hybrid or multi-cloud environments.
  • Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills, with a track record of building high-performing global teams.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field.

Impact

This role will be pivotal in shaping and sustaining the operational foundation for InterSystems’ next-generation managed services. By driving reliability, scalability, and efficiency across the Service Delivery Platform, the Senior Director will ensure that IRIS and its ecosystem are delivered as resilient, secure, and globally consistent managed services. This leader will play a central role in realizing the company’s vision of transforming from traditional deployments to fully cloud-native, globally managed offerings.

InterSystems is providing a current good faith estimate of the anticipated base salary range for this position depending on a variety of factors including experience, education, skills, and performance.

Other compensation may include a discretionary annual variable target incentive.

The estimated base compensatation range for this role is:
$195,000$229,000 USD
