The Services team and solutions fuel growth for partners globally by providing cutting edge capabilities across Customer Acquisition and Engagement, Security Solutions, Business & Market Insights, and Open Banking. The Operational Intelligence (OI) pillar plays a critical role in helping customers understand, manage, and optimize the end to end payment lifecycle through data driven insights, reporting, and analytics at scale.
Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Director of Product Management to join the Operational Intelligence Global Product Management team. This role is accountable for accelerating growth and commercialization of our existing platform by identifying the highest-impact product and process enhancements across the payment lifecycle — improving usability, scalability, and operational performance while unlocking incremental revenue streams.
You will lead platform growth initiatives through deep systems understanding, process optimization, and product-led commercialization (driving adoption, retention, and monetization). The role requires strong program leadership, comfort partnering closely with Technology/Data/Operations, and the ability to translate complex end-to-end flows into simpler experiences, lower cost-to-serve, and measurable business outcomes.
What Product Leaders Do in Services at Mastercard
Build analytics driven products that help customers extract value from high volume, complex payments and operational data
Translate a deep understanding of our customers into actionable insights products and solutions that drive significant customer value
Balance the long-term direction of a product with today’s needs and constraints by fully understanding the technical, competitive, and commercial contexts of our products
Act as connectors across Product, Sales and Marketing, Technology, Finance, and Operations to ensure commercial, technical, and delivery success
Drive globally relevant solutions by understanding regional needs and tradeoffs, and build scalable products that serve an array of customer segments
The Role:
Own the Payment Reconciliation Intelligence product strategy grounded in a strong understanding of the end-to-end payment lifecycle, including transaction processing, settlement, reconciliation, billing, and operational performance.
Identify and deliver platform growth opportunities by mapping end-to-end user journeys and operational flows, uncovering friction and inefficiency, and translating needs into scalable product and process enhancements.
Drive product-led commercialization by defining growth hypotheses and success metrics (adoption, retention, attach, utilization, and incremental revenue), and by partnering with Sales and Finance on value realization and monetization approaches.
Improve operational scalability and cost-to-serve by driving standardization, automation, and process redesign across reporting, billing inputs, reconciliation workflows, and client servicing touchpoints in partnership with Operations and Technology.
Partner with engineering and data teams to define requirements and trade-offs for platform enhancements, leveraging strong understanding of system architecture, data flows, and downstream operational impacts.
Manage a portfolio of initiatives in parallel, applying strong project and program management discipline to prioritize, sequence, and deliver outcomes at scale.
Partner closely with Technology and Data teams to deliver large scale data and reporting solutions, ensuring feasibility, performance, and reliability.
Define and track success metrics, including customer impact, adoption, revenue performance, and operational efficiency.
Collaborate with Finance on product P&L, covering forecasting, performance reviews, investment decisions, and budgeting.
Communicate product vision, priorities, and tradeoffs with clarity and executive presence across all organizational levels.
