The Coca-Cola Company

Director, Finance Shared Services Order-to-Cash (OTC)

United Kingdom - London Full time

Job Description Summary:

As Director of Order-to-Cash (O2C), you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the effective delivery, governance, and continuous improvement of O2C processes for Europe-based subsidiaries operating on Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365). This role has primary accountability for overseeing an offshored service provider responsible for core O2C activities, including cash application, credit control, billing, and revenue recognition, while also leading a small retained O2C team within the Finance Hub structure.

This position offers a unique opportunity to shape how O2C services are delivered at scale—balancing operational excellence, strong controls, and customer experience. You will act as the strategic bridge between the business, Finance leadership, IT, and the offshore provider, ensuring service quality, compliance, and value realization. Your leadership and insights will directly inform senior management decisions, strengthen working capital outcomes, and enable sustainable growth across European markets.

We are seeking a hands-on, strategic O2C leader with an investor mindset—someone who excels in a retained-organization model, is skilled in vendor governance, and passionate about using data, automation, and D365 capabilities to drive performance. This role is ideal for a self-starter who can lead through influence, manage complexity, and translate operational performance into actionable insights.

What You’ll Do for Us:

  • Provide overall leadership and governance for O2C operations delivered through an offshored service provider, covering cash application, credit control, billing, dispute management, and revenue recognition.
  • Define, monitor, and enforce service level agreements (SLAs), KPIs, and controls, ensuring high-quality, timely, and compliant O2C delivery across Europe.
  • Lead and develop a small retained O2C team within the Finance Hub, setting clear accountability for policy, oversight, analytics, and stakeholder management.
  • Deliver actionable operational and financial insights to guide regional and enterprise decision-making, with a focus on cash flow, working capital, revenue accuracy, and customer experience.
  • Lead O2C scenario planning and ad-hoc analyses to assess impacts of commercial terms, credit policies, volume changes, and macroeconomic conditions.
  • Help build and enhance O2C performance dashboards and reporting, leveraging D365 and Power BI to track KPIs such as DSO, unapplied cash, billing accuracy, dispute cycle time, and revenue leakage.
  • Partner with Regional Finance, Commercial, Tax, and Controllership teams to ensure accurate billing and revenue recognition in line with accounting standards and local statutory requirements.
  • Collaborate with IT and transformation teams to optimize D365 O2C processes, data quality, system controls, and integrations with upstream and downstream systems.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives, including process standardization, automation, and AI-enabled tools (e.g., intelligent cash application, predictive credit risk).
  • Act as the escalation point for O2C operational issues, vendor performance challenges, and cross-functional dependencies.
  • Manage multiple priorities with agility, accuracy, and strategic focus in a multi-country, outsourced service delivery environment.

Qualification & Requirements:

  • 7+ years of experience in O2C, Finance Operations, Shared Services, or related fields, with demonstrated experience managing offshored or outsourced service providers.
  • Strong understanding of end-to-end O2C processes, including cash application, credit management, billing, and revenue recognition, preferably in a multi-entity European environment.
  • Experience operating within a retained organization / finance hub model, including vendor governance, performance management, and issue resolution.
  • Solid expertise in financial and operational analysis, working capital management, and performance reporting.
  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations and modern BI tools (e.g., Power BI) strongly preferred.
  • Proven ability to translate operational data into insights and influence stakeholders across Finance, Commercial, and IT.
  • Experience with automation, RPA, and AI-enabled O2C tools is a strong advantage.

Core Competencies:

  • Investor mindset with a strong grasp of revenue, cash flow, and working capital drivers.
  • Strong governance and control orientation, with the ability to balance efficiency and compliance.
  • Ability to synthesize detailed operational analyses into clear, compelling recommendations for senior leadership.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to influence internal teams and external service providers.
  • People leadership skills, including coaching, performance management, and talent development within a retained team.
  • Self-motivated and comfortable working in a fast-paced, global, outsourced service delivery environment.
  • Tech-forward orientation with a strong interest in ERP-enabled transformation and emerging O2C technologies.
