JLL’s APAC Equity Advisory team delivers strategic real estate advisory services to corporate and institutional clients across mergers & acquisitions, strategic portfolio reviews, joint ventures, and capital raising initiatives. A core component of our offering is supporting clients in raising equity capital through a range of structures—including primary fund launches, secondary unit trades, joint ventures, club deals, separately managed accounts, and recapitalisations.
We are seeking a Director, Equity Advisory Fund Distribution to lead investor coverage and distribution efforts for indirect real estate investment strategies across the Asia Pacific region. This role is pivotal in connecting JLL’s transactional mandates with institutional capital, ensuring seamless execution and enhancing our market leadership in private real estate fundraising.
Key Responsibilities
Investor Coverage & Fund Distribution
Proactively cover mid-sized and smaller institutional investors across APAC with an appetite for passive, indirect real estate exposure (e.g., global/regional commingled funds, SMAs). Target investor types include pension funds, insurance companies, credit unions, and investment consultants/gatekeepers.
Coordinate outreach to non-APAC mid-sized institutions interested in APAC-focused indirect strategies (“inbound APAC” flow), in close collaboration with JLL’s Global Funds Distribution team.
Maintain and continuously update a dynamic investor database—including contact details, mandates, allocation preferences, and feedback—and share actionable intelligence regularly with the broader APAC Capital Markets team.
Mandate Execution Support
Serve as a central coordination point for Equity Advisory (EA) fundraising mandates: manage roadshow calendars, capture detailed call notes, track follow-ups, and ensure deal teams have timely, accurate investor feedback.
In select cases, take on project management responsibilities for EA mandates—overseeing timelines, materials, and internal alignment to drive efficient execution.
Participate in and support client roadshows, investor meetings, and marketing presentations as needed.
Partner closely with internal stakeholders.
Fostering Collaboration

You’ll be working with various people across the business including the Australia/New Zealand Capital Markets team (Investment Sales & Advisory), the Debt Advisory Team, the Global Investment Banking team, The Capital Markets Pursuits Team, the Global Funds Distribution Team to maximize business opportunities and implement best practices.
Qualifications & Experience
Minimum of 10–12 years of relevant experience in real estate fund distribution, capital raising, institutional sales, or investor relations—preferably within real estate private equity, investment banking, or a global real estate advisor.
Proven network of relationships with institutional investors across APAC (pension funds, insurers, family offices, gatekeepers).
Deep understanding of indirect real estate investment structures (funds, JVs, SMAs, secondaries) and the capital raising lifecycle.
Track record of successfully supporting or leading fundraising processes that resulted in closed transactions.
